This Coaching time is for active job seekers ready to launch into the industry.These sessions give you the resources to build a stellar resume and cover letter, and teach you strategies to stand out and land the job.

Your success in this Course relies on your commitment to it. Study, prepare, and practice with your peers and independently using our cutting-edge tools, reference books, and after-hours help. Unlike our other Courses, Sales Leadership Foundations will help you learn all the skills, processes, behaviors, and theories you’ll need to land your first role as a BDR Manager.

Yes. This course is ideal for BDRs or AEs with at least 6 months experience, if you’re planning an immediate term move into a Sales Manager role, looking for an introduction to higher-level management techniques and theories, or are preparing for movement to senior management in the intermediate or long term. If you are just entering the tech sales field, this course is not for you.

It’s important for you to step into a BDR Manager role with confidence that you are able to achieve what’s expected of you. For that reason, experience as a BDR Team Lead, or as a Sales Manager in a different industry, are useful experiences to have when stepping into a BDR Manager role.

It’s unlikely that without these types of experiences you’ll step into a Manager level, although we have seen circumstances where Sr. BDRs and deeply experienced reps can step into Management roles and be successful.

If you aren’t familiar with tech and tech sales, we recommend you begin by enrolling in our 12-week Tech Sales Foundations Course first, and then after some time and experience on a sales floor, using this Sales Leadership Course to reach for a promotion into a management role later down the line.

Our membership model differs from traditional education, where you would typically pay for each Course or Workshop individually. Instead, we offer a flat fee that supports your career goals, allowing you to take as many Courses and Workshops as you'd like based on your available time and resources.

Uvaro offers two financial assistance programs for those interested in becoming Premium Members.

Assisted Subscription Agreement (ASA): This program enables eligible members to join Uvaro at a reduced rate for up to 12 months or until they reach a specific income level (Qualified Income Threshold). Once the income level is met, members will pay the regular monthly subscription fee for 12 months.

Impact Scholarships: Aimed at empowering more women, particularly women of color, to succeed in the tech industry, these scholarships reduce barriers and enhance access to high-quality employment with upward mobility in the ICT sector. On a high level, you can expect to see an average base salary of $85,765 in the U.S. and $77,841 in Canada, with an average OTE depending on team performance bonuses, individual performance bonuses, overriding commissions or if there is more weight on a fixed salary.

The average salary for a BDR Manager in 2023 varies depending on the company, level of experience, industry, and location. WOW, that's a lot of factors. To help set the proper expectations on the roles, and salaries they can expect to see upon graduating from Sales Leadership Foundations Course we’ve created our BDR Manager Salary Guide for 2023.

Being a BDR Manager requires a combination of hard and soft skills. Soft skills include but aren’t limited to sales performance Coaching and development, and data-driven people management. Hard skills include role-playing, script writing, cadence writing, comfort with forecasts and budgets, planning, and prospecting.

Most importantly, BDR Managers are regularly using activity and performance metrics and data to coach their team to understand and take advantage of performance opportunities, to hit sales targets.

Every day when a BDR Manager logs in they’re looking at their sales performance dashboards and metrics. This information helps them prioritize their time and focus on the right ways of supporting their team.

Their core tasks include coaching, training, and motivating a team of BDRs to hit their sales goals, assisting with hiring and onboarding new BDRs on the sales team, giving and receiving feedback about individual and team performance, leading team meetings and representing BDRs in meetings with senior leadership, and identifying and escalating opportunities to improve the sales process.

Listening in on calls, role playing, call coaching, enabling their teams with resources and 1:1 conversations, and celebrating the wins are also part of their day to day.

When you join as a Premium member, you are required to participate in our Onboarding Prep Week before participating in Courses and Workshops, for many of our members this is before they join a Tech Sales Foundations Course.

Our Onboarding Prep Week is a combination of live and asynchronous sessions and tasks that onboard you to the tools, resources, and services at your disposal as a Premium member. We want to show you how to take advantage of all of our offerings while introducing you to some of the individuals who will support you during your time at Uvaro.

These sessions will teach you how to use your uvaro.com profile, join Courses and Workshops, and complete all the needed checklist tasks to see success right out of the gate. We do this so you don’t need to spend the first day of class learning about Uvaro - you are there to learn about tech sales.
