We are seeking a motivated and skilled Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and sales acumen, enabling them to effectively communicate product value to clients and assist in the development of tailored solutions. This role is pivotal in driving customer satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships through exceptional service and support.

Our world class products and services support commercial buildings, industrial plants, large residential, healthcare facilities, surgical centers, military, marine, agriculture, oil & gas, data centers, telecommunications, local, state, and federal government entities.
CORE FUNCTIONS:
- Achieve the Company’s sales goals, develop and engage in new sales opportunities, and foster strong and rewarding customer relationships.
- Effectively align customer’s needs with the Company’s products and technical services.
- Effectively develop and manage sales, service, and marketing efforts in an assigned geographic area.
- Provide customers with expert design, consultation, and technical solutions by offering the Company’s product lines and technical services.
- Accurately prepare, edit, modify estimates on new projects and service inquiries.
- Effectively read project specifications, plans and drawings to create effective estimates.
- Responsible for the liaison between Company staff, customers, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and technical support.
- Process new sales orders.
- Prepare, coordinate, track, receive, and ship product orders.
- Responsible for providing management with verbal and written documentation updates on all project details, services, and quotations.
- Ensure sales and service activities are running effectively and efficiently.
- Prepare equipment specification and submittal documents for customers.
- Use computerized software for research, estimating, marketing, and project management.
- Maintain complete and accurate computerized and/or written records.
- Attending both local and out-of-state training and safety courses.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Possession of an AA/AS or BA/BS degree in Business Sales & Marketing, Construction Management or Electrical Engineering is highly desirable.
- Experience in electrical contracting or power generator sales is highly desirable.
- Experience with Cummins, CAT, Volvo Penta, ASCO Power is highly desirable.
- Experience in commercial and industrial electrical estimating is highly desirable.
- Must be competent in reading electrical drawings and construction documents.
- Must be highly organized, detailed oriented, work independently and effectively within a team, and have an ability to determine technical solutions for customers.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must maintain strong computer proficiency in using computer estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Must always maintain a valid CA Driver’s License as a condition of employment.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $103,455.00 - $114,210.00 per year
