Packaging Consultant Specialist
REMOTE - USA (Near major metropolitan city/airport)
The purpose of this position is to gain new customers and business for the organization’s products / services and manage, retain, and grow existing client base through the Packaging Consultant Customer SCOPE™ engagement process.
All Packaging Consultant Specialists will be responsible for successfully providing customers with cost saving initiatives to generate new business and/or grow existing business, support margin increases and support new/extended contracts.
How you will impact WestRock:
Responsible for incremental growth of net revenue and margin with prospect and current customers through the SCOPE™ engagement process by pursuing and identifying opportunities that yield ROI for both the customer and WestRock, accomplished by successfully:
ü Prioritizing prospects/customers with WestRock sales leadership
ü Contacting approved customers to engage their involvement and commitment to the SCOPE™ process
ü Introducing the company’s services, products, resources through the SCOPE™ process
ü Working with account representatives, local and national sales, operations, design, and our customers personnel to identify, analyze, and evaluate supply chain opportunities
ü Working with customer to evaluate appropriate supply chain opportunities designed to reduce cost of ownership and yield customer ROI
ü Bridging customer recommendations through the WestRock sales group to ensure ROI to WestRock
ü Presenting leverageable, fact-based recommendations for supply chain improvements to customers
ü Establishing SCOPE™ implementation plans and customer follow-up strategies that appropriately support WestRock team members during the implementation phase
Responsible for ongoing self-education of industry and market trends – this is a non-stop learning position which includes sharing your expertise with others in the organization
Answer complex questions as it relates to services and products provided by the organization
Generate ongoing status reports & SCOPE™ follow-up to ensure contracted/expected ROI will be actualized
May be requested to do special assignments, as required
What you need to succeed:
Degree in Industrial Technology, Packaging Science, Manufacturing, or related area - BS degree preferred
Demonstration of successful leadership, team skills, and ongoing continuous improvement
5+ years of directly related experience and/or demonstrated Project Management success
Knowledge of lean manufacturing, process improvement and LSS methodology is preferred
Strong communication (written & verbal) and presentation skills
High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office is a must
Ability to travel (approximately 25%)
