Flood and Peterson is hiring an Account Manager in our Mainstreet Department!
This role provides account support to our small business clients, helping to grow and protect their business with commercial insurance coverage.
POSITION SUMMARY
Provide ongoing support and service to clients in conjunction with the Sales Executive and/or Marketing Consultant assisting with existing clients and new business prospects by performing a variety of tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties may be assigned
- Serves as the internal contact for clients on insurance questions and policy changes.
- Responsible for account servicing needs during the policy year including but not limited to: binders, certificates, evidence of property, auto ID cards, endorsements, invoicing, audits, claims, etc.
- Perform day-to-day client servicing tasks including the renewal with or without the oversight of a Sales Executive.
- Responsible for the account renewal & remarketing process, including the following:
- Prepare renewal exposure information documents/renewal review.
- Complete applications, including specialty applications, as required.
- Obtain preliminary renewal indications from underwriters.
- Follow-up with renewal underwriters for quotes.
- Preparation of proposals.
- Issue binding instructions to successful carriers.
- Issue binders, invoices.
- Complete surplus lines due diligence & affidavits, when applicable.
- Responsible for final policy check for new and renewal business as negotiated at binding.
- Work with Accounting to resolving accounting discrepancies.
- Perform loss ratio evaluations and Experience Mod reviews when necessary.
- Responsible for collection of premium on all assigned accounts.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with clients and insurance company underwriters.
- Responsible for integrity of policy data in Agency Management Systems.
- Comply with and follow corporate workflow procedures and guidelines.
- Provide outstanding customer service and teamwork and seek to improve whenever possible.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position does not have supervisory responsibilities, but is expected to mentor new team members and lower level positions. Inform Supervisor/Manager of all matters that may give rise to an E&O claim.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS INFORMATION

In addition to regular pay, this position is eligible to participate in our annual performance incentive program.
Starting pay for non-exempt position is $30.00 -$34.00/hour . Pay may exceed this range for well-qualified candidates, commensurate with experience.
Requirements:MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Work Experience
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills This position requires use of the following software or applications: Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Internet, Email, Database, Order Processing, Presentations and Accounting
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations (if applicable)
- Must have industry designation of CISR or equivalent and a willingness to pursue additional designations as needed (CIC, CRM, AAI, ARM, CPCU etc.)
- Possess and maintain a Colorado multiple lines license
- Requires current Colorado driver’s license and acceptable MVR
