Business Development Manager - Arizona

Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for increasing Mike Albert's market share through the identification and development of new prospects and closing new business. The BDM will sell business-to-business the company's fleet management solutions including; fleet leasing and services programs to new prospects.

  • Organically develops and maintains a database of prospects within an assigned responsibility
  • Qualifies prospect through consultative selling process which includes effective Pre-Call Planning by information gathering, interviewing or other activities
  • Comprehensively sells company solutions including vehicle leasing, maintenance, fuel license programs, outsourcing, and other support services to new prospects and engages in expansion opportunities of current clients when appropriate
  • Effectively challenges the status quo in all applicable areas of fleet management.
  • Gains access to C suite executives and delivers professional presentations to prospective client's teams to gain overall agreement to select Mike Albert as partner
  • Secures long term client commitments that can deliver long term, sustainable growth.
  • Interfaces with Client Development Managers and Transition Team during client on-boarding
  • Provide organization with overview of marketplace and other competitive intelligence


  • Reside in territory or surrounding area - Phoenix/Tucson
  • Bachelor's Degree or work equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of Sales experience
  • Fleet Leasing Industry experience required
  • Solid working knowledge of and proficiency in executing consultative selling process
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the financial implications of equipment leasing
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Able to develop compelling oral and written proposals that quantify overall impact of Mike Albert solutions
  • Results driven; highly creative in delivering and positioning solutions to meet clients' needs and challenges
  • Able to analyze client issues and challenges and develop effective sales and closing strategies
  • Closes deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
  • High level of determination, initiative, perseverance and resiliency
  • Able to establish priorities and meet objectives
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, professional publications, networking and professional organizations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and CRM technology
  • Able to travel up to 75% of the time

Requirements (What we look for in candidates): Must-haves: - 4-8 years of work experience in any customer-facing sales role. - Clear, concise, and effective written and oral communication skills. - Empathy towards customers and understanding their needs. - Interest, curiosity, and openness to learning new technologies. - Prior exposure to tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, DiscoverOrg, ZoomInfo, etc. - Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders as well as end customers. - Learning mindset and the right attitude that will help you thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. - Ability to handle rejections and stay focused and driven. - Ability to multi-task and manage your tasks effectively. - Flexibility in working in different shifts/regions. This is absolutely mandatory because you will be expected to work in a specific shift for a minimum of two years. Good to have: - Prior work experience in SaaS product companies in domains relevant to Freshworks' suite of products. - A proven track record of consistency in overachieving targets.
