Regional Sales Manager - Indiana – Firefighting Equipment

Description:

Howell Rescue Systems is in search of a Full or Part time Regional Sales Manager to support the sales of Firefighting rescue and safety equipment in the Indiana region. The ideal candidate will be located in Indiana and both willing and able to travel throughout the state.

Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager for Howell Rescue Systems in Indiana is responsible for both selling and overseeing dealer sales along with achieving sales goals. He/she will also be responsible for maintaining and building new customer relationships and demonstrating and communicating product specifications and their benefits to customers. The Regional Sales Manager will need to be familiar with the following fire industry manufacturers; Genesis Rescue Systems, Drager SCBA’s, and American Airworks Compressors. Candidates must have prior knowledge of the fire industry and manufacturer brands associated with equipment lines. Requires travel to meet with customers, attend meetings/trainings, participate in regional trade shows and attend company events. Reports directly to the Owner of Howell Rescue Systems. Full-time employee eligible for benefits package.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify prospects and follow-up on sales leads
  • Schedule Demos to show product
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships
  • Meet with all customers in person on a quarterly basis
  • Communicate product benefits and specifications to customers
  • Identify and resolve customer concerns
  • Prepare sales presentations, proposals, bids, and contracts
  • Respond to communications (phone calls and emails) from customers, teammates, and vendors within one business day
  • Service the customer during and after each sale to ensure the customer is satisfied
  • Prepare reports requested by management
  • Be knowledgeable on product offering, competitive products, and competitive pricing
  • Achieve personal, team, and organizational goals while working as part of a team
  • Attend trade shows and customer events to maintain customer and vendor relationships
  • Attend mandatory product training and sales events/meetings
  • Maintain car stock and demo equipment as directed by company policy
  • Facilitate product training for customers; sales representative must train customers himself/herself
  • Work closely Accounting Team to follow-up with customers on past due accounts
  • Maintain neat and professional personal appearance at all times

Qualification Requirements

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.

  • Demonstrate the ability to set and reach performance goals set forth by management.
  • Operate computers and be proficient with Microsoft Outlook Email, Microsoft Word & Excel programs as well with any company provided software
  • Be self-motivated and work from a remote location
  • Prioritize tasks while working quickly and efficiently
  • Possess strong detail-oriented, problem solving, and analytical abilities
  • Work independently and work in a team environment
  • Travel frequently and have a flexible schedule (many demos and trainings will occur on nights and weekends)
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with employees and customers
  • Possess a valid drivers’ license and maintain a good driving record
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education and Experience

  • Sales or marketing experience
  • Knowledge of firefighting equipment is preferred
  • Background in the firefighting industry is preferred

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. The employee will work with heavy rescue equipment and perform training sessions that require lifting, walking, and standing for long periods of time.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
