This role will help to best align organizational goals and day-day sales activities by developing and executing revenue maximizing strategies of the direct sales teams while also acting as the main leader for sales operations, revenue operations, sales strategy, and our tech stack (primarily managing the daily administration of Salesforce).
This person should be self-motivated, highly analytical, data-driven, and has the interpersonal and relationship-building skills needed to work closely with key stakeholders throughout operations, sales, account management, finance, and engineering. A successful person is someone who is able to get to the lowest level of detail and act with ownership to drive results.
Dive into the data to drive improvements in sales team productivity by defining best practices and streamline operations so managers can focus on coaching.
Optimize lead lists to help the sales team target the most valuable accounts on their lists and identify accounts most likely to close.
Assist in managing sales compensation plans, sales incentives and lead distribution.
Support sales enablement through vetting, implementing, and maintaining various tools ranging from B.I. tools, Salesforce functionalities, workflow tools, etc.
Oversees data management for internal CRM (Salesforce)
Ensure accurate data architecture is in place on areas of responsibility to enable analytics on key business measures.
Maintain frequent communication with business process owners to ensure changes to SFDC, associated process and applications are consistent with business needs
Provide transparency to leadership with open communication to ensure visibility of progress and challenges.
Work directly with sales and account management leaders on critical strategic, organizational and operational projects designed to increase revenue, sales productivity and operational efficiency.
Structure and execute on these projects by developing work plans, gathering and synthesizing relevant data, leading analyses and developing final recommendations.
Analyze and determine key insights from key business drivers, trends and operating metrics. Take advantage of large amounts of structured data to understand how our customers interact with our product and service offerings. Translate data into insights and action.
Lead sales planning and forecasting processes (operational forecast, long-range modeling, quota and capacity setting, sales territories).
Experiment through data-driven decision-making and sound business judgment. Design and run sales tests and lead market intelligence efforts.
Be a thought leader and go-to expert on data infrastructure, CRM and sales tools. Drive operational efficiency by automating and improving processes, tools, and dashboards that scale.
Communicate recommendations to sales leadership and the broader organization. Work with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Product, Data Science, Engineering, and Finance.
5+ years of experience in sales ops, project management, or business operations; high-growth or early-stage startup experience is preferred
2+ years of managing direct reports
2+ years of experience working directly with and supporting a sales team
Expert level Salesforce skills (Salesforce certifications are a plus)
1+ year managing an organization’s tech stack
1+ year of experience in company selling Advertising
Intermediate SQL knowledge
Experience building Salesforce automation (process builder, workflows, etc)
Solid understanding of sales process a must
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to present technical content to all levels within the organization
Experience creating and managing a sales compensation plan, sales territories, forecasting models, revenue projections, and other key operational items.
A track record of successful delivery with desired business results and able to manage multiple initiatives at once.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
Six Sigma or PMP certification is a plus
A forward thinker who takes initiative, identifies gaps, and makes recommendations.
Ability to understand high-level sales strategies, translate them into system and process requirements, and ensure local execution and business impact
Data expert capable of querying and scoping, analyzing, summarizing and reporting information
Experience managing a Jira roadmap or similar project management software
