What it Takes:
Carbonite + Webroot is looking for self-starters to join our growing team of Business Development Representatives (BDR) -- this is a great opportunity to start or grow your career in tech sales!
Our BDR’s are responsible for generating leads for our Carbonite + Webroot sales team. The goal of this team is to help our customers solve difficult and often expensive data protection and security challenges. You will play a key role in our success by identifying, educating, and qualifying leads and prospecting them by telephone, email, and other means.
You will work closely with Field Sales Managers, Inside Sales and Channel Account Managers to deliver these leads. You will also have the opportunity to assist in sales and marketing events and work with channel partners to develop effective targeting strategies. You will play a key role in our success by helping educate customers, providing a great first point of contact for the customer experience, and helping identify strong partnerships between Carbonite + Webroot.
Your First Six Months:
Become fully acquainted with our culture, values, and environment
Learn sales systems and processes
Understand customer challenges and how to solve them
Clearly and effectively articulate the Carbonite + Webroot value proposition and cyber resilience message
Gain a full and demonstrated understanding of how to effectively execute customer discovery calls
Learn the full portfolio of Carbonite Server Backup (CSB), Carbonite Endpoint Protection (CEP), M365 Backup, Carbonite Recover (DRaaS), Webroot Endpoint (antivirus), Webroot DNS and Webroot Security Awareness Training (SAT).
Make approximately 40 calls per day or have 2 hours of talk time. No overdue tasks, and efficient pipeline management.
Six to Twelve Months and Beyond:
Establish yourself as an expert in data protection and security – cyber resilience
Continue to work with Field Sales Mangers, Inside Sales and Channel Account team fostering strong relationships
Continued learning and development of best practices to ensure your long-term success as a BDR

1+ years’ experience sales, cold calling,
Confident phone presence and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Grit – courage, resilience, perseverance and passion
Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed measurable performance goals
Experience with Outlook, Salesforce.com, Outreach, Zoominfo, LinkedIn a plus
Coachable and willingness to continually learn and develop
