Develop and manage a carrier portfolio to drive sales and revenue by providing outstanding customer service to all external and internal clients to GlobalTranz’s standards.

  • Develop successful strategies and techniques for portfolio growth and development through prospecting and sales strategies
  • Further develop carrier portfolio by diversifying service offerings and carrier coverage
  • Negotiate rates with carriers to maximize profits and develop long term solutions
  • Collaborate internally to develop new opportunities and grow current business
  • Deepen relationships within core carrier portfolio across all levels to further drive business growth
  • Maintain carrier satisfaction and provide high quality service and work ethic while representing GlobalTranz
  • Understand and develop successful problem resolution skills by partnering with internal and external parties to proactively mitigate risk regarding issues
  • Follow all problem resolution policies and procedures to GlobalTranz standards
  • Work with Procurement department to ensure all freight is covered in the most cost effective, time efficient manner to satisfy both customer and carrier needs
  • Maximize personal productivity and workflow by communicating with managers and Senior/National Carrier Sales Representatives on load board priorities, efficiencies, and board coverage
  • Ensure all shipments are tracked according to company policy and to GlobalTranz standards
  • Update and maintain internal operating system with accurate and up-to-date information to ensure data integrity
  • Strategically match, negotiate, and book available equipment with available freight
  • Advise and make recommendations of available capacity to fulfill customer’s needs and requirements
  • Source and procure truckload carrier capacity to fulfill customer freight requirement
  • Research and analyze truckload market trends, including load to truck ratio, in assigned region
  • Establish and maintain carrier relationships to expand future capacity opportunities
  • Promote brand awareness within current and existing carrier partners
  • Advise and submit daily rolled loads report to management
  • Follow customer SOPs during the booking and dispatching process
  • Afterhours, weekend, and holiday flexibility (we operate 24/7/365)
  • Perform other special projects and tasks as assigned
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Sales experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office platform
  • Ability to develop relationships at all levels of a business (internally and externally)
  • Ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans for the business.
  • Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Innovative thinker who enjoys learning and solving problems
  • Enthusiastic, assertive, driven, dynamic, and flexible individual.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending or standing on a stool as necessary.
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected. Minimal travel may be required.
