Sales Operations Manager

The Sales Operations Manager drives the productivity of the sales organization by working hand in hand with the COO & Senior Sales Team to define, enable and analyze sales performance. As a key member of the team, the Sales Ops Manager must work with autonomy and leadership to research and apply market best practices from the industry to Unreserved's sales development process. The right person will feel confident facilitating discussions, educating their team members, and dictating the direction and goals applied to the sales team's cycle and forecasting plan. The Sales Ops Manager relentlessly drives the organization toward the continuous improvement of their sales strategy to ensure operational efficiency, revenue recognition and business growth.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist in setting sales goals/quotas by territory and person
  • Identify key performance indicators such as SLAs on response time, conversion, etc.
  • Draft and maintain sales org structure & job descriptions
  • Create incentive & compensation structures for sales roles
  • Assist in building a solid sales team that can hit the aforementioned goals & KPIs
  • Create and maintain end to end sales process documentation
  • Build onboarding material for the sales team within the businesses Human Resources Information System
  • Schedule and plan ongoing training & performance management
    • Training on tools - open phone, click up, slack, google suite of tools
    • Training on scripts & templates - how to use them, when, why, how much to deviate
  • Build resource models to ensure the sales team is adequately staffed and proactively ready to scale
  • Oversee the management of the customer relationship management software
  • Assist in building and maintaining the lead generation process for inside sales
  • Lead customer journey and interaction mapping to ensure alignment between customer interactions and the scripts & templates used for communication
  • Build, maintain and report on performance using an analytics dashboard to show territory management, quotas, KPIs
  • Oversee shared calendar for bookings
  • Oversee the scheduling of sales team members
  • Schedule and, at times, facilitate weekly or daily standups for the sales team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing and product to ensure the sales team is well supported and integrated
  • Act as a solution-oriented advisor to sales team members needing assistance troubleshooting


  • 5+ years in a Sales Operations function
  • Experience in a high performing and fast paced sales environment
  • Strong knowledge of a variety of different Customer Relationship Management tools
  • Advanced user of MS Excel – conditional formatting, advanced charting, pivot tables, dashboards. Bonus points for experience with macros and VBA.
  • Advanced user of MS Powerpoint to create compelling and consumable presentations
  • Ability to configure data visualizations tools such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience creating complex variable pay structures to motivate sales teams
