As the Director of Talent Acquisition & Screening, you will lead, develop, and execute upon a comprehensive strategy that aligns with MarketerHire’s goals around recruiting, vetting and onboarding new freelancer marketing talent for the MarketerHire platform.
Oversee and optimize the efficiency of the screening process and overall Talent pipeline
Based on pipeline performance, identify and prioritize ways to improve workflows through the screening process to improve satisfaction and conversion for qualified marketers in addition to ensuring we have only high-quality talent in our network that meet and exceed client expectations. Collaborate with the Product team to implement workflow changes as needed.
Identify and make recommendations for improvement in the areas of process, efficiency, productivity and talent quality across the screening process and overall Talent pipeline.
Develop mature feedback loops between Sales, Matching, and Talent Success, ensuring supply is keeping pace with demand and marketer quality meets our standards.
Hire, coach, and manage a team of Talent Sourcers / Recruiters focused on driving Talent (Marketer) applications and managing applications through the pipeline.
Motivate Talent Acquisition team members through creative incentives.
Oversee the candidate experience to ensure all candidates, even those not hired, walk away from the experience with a positive impression of MarketerHire.
Regularly report on team and individual results against KPIs and monthly goals.
Manage Vetters including sourcing, onboarding, and ongoing communication, availability and performance.
Improve Vetter performance, satisfaction, and retention by reevaluating program structure, perks, etc.
Continue to iterate on capacity planning models and drive teams to meet monthly onboarding goals without sacrificing marketer quality.
Collaborate with Marketing on developing content, driving applications, and improve messaging through the screening process.
Collaborate with the VP of Marketplace Operations on hiring forecasting and budget for team headcount including Vetters.
You have proven experience managing, coaching, and leading a successful talent acquisition team sourcing and nurturing freelance talent at scale (most ideal), or similar experience managing a Recruiting or Sales Development team.
You have general knowledge of the skills and attributes required of candidates across Marketing roles. Bonus points for some direct marketing and/or freelance experience.
You are accustomed to working in a metrics-driven culture and have successfully developed methods to achieve KPI expectations.
You are customer / Talent obsessed. You prioritize projects based on overall impact to the talent community to improve satisfaction.
You have experience interacting with a Product team and developing specs for new feature requests.
You must be a world-class individual contributor to thrive at MarketerHire. You will not be here just to tell other people what to do.
You are an expert with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. Familiarity with HubSpot is also a plus.
In the first 30 days you will:
Review with internal documentation and meet with team members to get a deep understanding of the business model, data, culture, and workflows.
Audit the structure and functions of the Talent Acquisition team and present to findings VP of Marketplace Operations.
Work with the VP of Marketplace Operations to review and update Quarterly Goals for Talent Acquisition.
Align on critical metrics to measure marketer quality to guide recruiting and the screening process. Define/refine KPIs as measures of talent quality and team success.
Collaborate with the VP of Marketplace Operations to establish and refine the Talent Acquisition roadmap and Supply forecast.
Implement highest priority, lowest-hanging fruit improvements to our Talent pipeline, including quick real-time improvements as you find them
In the first 60 days you will:
Begin coaching each rep to their weaknesses
Build relationships with Talent Success, Matching, and Sales teams to ensure alignment is as high as possible
Onboard new creative strategies to add to our outreach campaigns to improve conversion (calls, cadences, video etc)
Have learned all internal tools
Gain a deep understanding of the supply/demand dynamics within MarketerHire to assist with prioritization of screening activities and optimal capacity planning.
Iterate on initial capacity planning models with our Data Science team.
Begin to explore processes and structures that will support expertise in vetting talent under scenarios of an expanded number of verticals.
In the first 90 days you will:
Proactively understand patterns of recruiting activities and get ahead of underperformance
Develop career plans with each of your direct reports
Continue to optimize process to improve performance both across the Talent pipeline and Vetters (incentives, content, process changes, etc)
Optimize Talent screening quality and bandwidth to achieve newly established guidelines.
Develop capacity planning models to ensure the team can achieve a healthy pipeline of high-quality talent in relationship to our supply/demand models and forecasting future needs.
