About Us
theCodery is a hybrid Salesforce Consulting Systems Implementation (SI) and PDO (Product
Development Outsourcer) partner. We deliver Salesforce solutions to enable strong back office
automation, integration, and high performance for a myriad of business functions for rapidly
growing companies in the Retail, Healthcare, Non-Profit, and Software-as-a-Service (Saas)
industries, to name a few. Additionally, we work with Salesforce Independent Software Vendors
(ISV) to build high quality, scalable, managed packages that will successfully pass the Rigorous
Salesforce security review process to allow for publication on the Salesforce AppExchange.

We are able to deliver this breadth of platform experience in implementations and product
development, as we are an onshore firm with deeply experienced, senior consultants with an
average 15 years of IT delivery experience. We proudly boast a 100% on time, on budget

Position
We are looking for a tech-savvy Sales Engineer to join theCodery’s sales team. Working closely
with the sales and marketing teams, you will play a significant part in the company by helping to
drive revenue and close sales with your technical expertise. You should be driven to achieve
your sales goals, with great sales presentation and customer service skills. The ideal candidate
will have exceptional communication skills to help relate technical solutions in a way that is
understandable to non-technical people.

Responsibilities
  • Drive sales and revenue growth through achieving sales goals, generating high-quality
sales leads, and nurturing customer relationships.
  • Prepare and develop polished, technical presentations addressing the full scope of
customer requirements using Salesforce solutions across a variety of industries.
  • Deliver technical presentations demonstrating how theCodery and Salesforce solutions
will be able to solve complex business problems.
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of Salesforce solutions, proactively pursuing continuous

education and awareness on product and service updates, announcements, and pipeline
improvements.

  • Attend various client meetings and social engagements as needed, helping to build and
maintain strong relationships with current and potential customers.
  • Work closely with sales to define and achieve customers’ success criteria and
demonstrate ROI for a project.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to identify new and/or modify existing tactics to
improve sales and customer retention.

What we are looking for...

Must-have
  • Extensive Salesforce knowledge and experience
  • 4+ years of experience in technical sales engineering, customer service, and
cross-functional team collaboration, product management ideally in the consulting world
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, engineering, communications, marketing, or equivalent
experience
  • Positive and proactive attitude, motivated to take initiative

  • Tolerance for ambiguous day to day tasks

  • Proficient in multiple business systems including but not limited to:
  • Google Drive (GDocs, GSheet, GSlides, GForms)
  • Jira and Confluence
  • Salesforce Operations and Reporting

  • Able to travel ~50% during peak travel times if regular travel resumes.
Nice-to-Have
  • At least 3 Salesforce Certifications
  • Salesforce configuration and/or development experience
  • Established relationships with the Salesforce community and network
  • MBA

  • We use Slack and Zoom extensively to keep ourselves in close communication
  • We try to minimize standing meetings but as a remote company we depend on

them to stay aligned. Usually a whole-company meeting and a group specific
meeting is what you might expect beyond any client or project meetings in a
given week.

  • You have a quiet and consistent place you can work, every day, and take client
calls that are free from interruption. We know everyone has a family life but
having others talking in the background while we’re on a call with a client can
potentially be a problem.
