About the position

GigSalad is an online booking platform that connects event planners with performers and event service providers. Our goal is to create a great booking experience for each user who visits our site!

Hours: Full-time: 40 hours/week, M-F 8:30a-5p (Part-time considered)

Salary: Compensation based on experience

Location: Springfield, MO

As a nationwide company, we are always looking for more high-quality vendors to join the site. That's where our future Customer Development Specialist comes in! We are on the hunt for an energetic, motivated, and teamwork-oriented individual to help drive our outbound sales department. Yes, you'll be making outbound calls but without the high-pressure environment of other sales positions. In addition, we're offering a commission on top of a solid base salary. This is a new position for our company so being flexible and a self-starter is a must. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, patient, kind, and won't shy away from making outbound calls, sending emails, and scheduling meetings to bring new vendors to the platform.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Actively seek out opportunities and business relationships to increase users on our site
  • Knowledgeably discuss membership options best-suited for each new member that you're recruiting to the platform
  • Work with our Marketing, Customer Service, and Inbound Sales Teams to create successful campaigns and increase revenue
  • Develop new strategies and monitor existing sales efforts
  • Update education and job knowledge through appropriate publications, seminars, and related events
  • Potentially represent GigSalad at in-person events such as networking functions, expos, and others as needed
  • Using internal and external tools to gather, organize, and contact your leads

What You’ll Need:

  • At least 3 years of sales experience required
  • No fear of phone calls
  • To be deadline-oriented, exhibit strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to take initiative, think creatively, and work collaboratively
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to deal successfully with complexities of a new department in an expanding organization
  • Ability to build effective relationships with members and event planners
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a huge plus!

Key Accountabilities  * Create customer success plans to drive growth for each account  * Support solution design and technical implementation of current desired integrations as outlined in the customer success plan. * Monitor user adoption and product utilization and create targeted programs to increase engagement and support the agency's change management process. * Build strong relationships between the Miovision product and support teams to ensure continuous resolution of ongoing operational issues as well as product deficiencies that may come up.  * Participate in regular support and health checks to ensure accounts are continuing to derive value from our solutions * Support software renewal and upselling activities  Skills/Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalency or achievement of recognized professional level * 5+ years of technical experience; must understand network products * Ability to travel internationally, providing on-site consulting work to clients * Ability to manage multiple projects utilizing strong planning and organizational skills * Experience with general consulting skills that include team facilitation, business case development, strong business analysis skills, process mapping and process redesign * Systems implementation skills: requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management and support * Analytical nature with the ability to solve complex business issues * Basic understanding of product development and engineering processes.  We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
