SOMMAIRE DU POSTE

Sous une étroite supervision, mettre en œuvre et documenter des analyses financières standards et des projets financiers ponctuels de complexité simple à modérée. Participer aux tâches financières, notamment l’évaluation, la vérification, la planification, le budget, les impôts, la consolidation, le contrôle du coût et la supervision du projet.


PRINCIPALES RESPONSABILITÉS

Évaluer et analyser divers données et indicateurs financiers tels que les dépenses en immobilisations, dépréciation, propositions, occasions d’investissement, taux de rendement, planification des bénéfices, registres des opérations, états financiers, etc. Recommander des actions afin d’améliorer le rendement financier.

Compiler les données budgétaires et fiscales reçues des services assignés afin de préparer les bilans et les données comparables historiques des dépenses des services avec les demandes de crédit.

Analyser les dossiers relatifs aux opérations actuelles et passées, aux tendances, aux coûts, aux revenus estimés et réels, aux engagements administratifs et aux obligations assumées afin de faire des projections concernant le revenu et les dépenses futures.

Aider à préparer des études spéciales, des analyses et des recommandations sur les budgets, les prévisions, les plans financiers, les exigences gouvernementales, les rapports statistiques et les perspectives commerciales.

Recueillir et organiser les données selon les modèles de rapport requis afin de fournir des outils de comparaison et d’évaluation.

Préparer les rapports analysant des aspects particuliers des structures des services, des fonctions et des procédures d’activité, et recommander des façons d’améliorer l’efficacité.

Effectuer les autres tâches assignées.

JOB SUMMARY

Working under close supervision, conducts and documents simple to moderate standard financial analysis and ad hoc finance projects. Aids organization with financial functions, such as assessing, auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes, consolidation, cost control, and project control.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Evaluates and analyzes a variety of financial results and indicators such as capital expenditures, depreciation, proposals, investment opportunities, rate of return, profit plans, operating records, financial statements, etc. Recommends actions that may be taken to improve financial results.

Compiles budgetary and fiscal data received from assigned departments to prepare revenue
balance statements and historical comparisons of departmental expenditures with requested
appropriations.



Analyzes records of present and past operations, trends and costs, estimated and realized revenues, administrative commitments, and obligations incurred to project future revenues and expenses.


Assists in preparation of special studies, analyses, and recommendations in areas such as budgets, forecasts, financial plans, governmental requirements, statistical reports, and business forecasts.

Retrieves and organizes data into required reporting formats to provide a basis for comparison and evaluation.

Prepares reports analyzing specific aspects of department structures, functions and operational procedures and recommends ways to improve efficiency and/or effectiveness.

Performs other duties as assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to co-workers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
