Regional Sales Manager - BC/Alberta

As the Regional Sales Manager, reporting directly to the Director of Sales, you will spearhead pipeline development, growth, and conversion to the top line within your designated region within Ontario. Collaborating closely with our Digital and Business Development teams (BD), you'll focus on converting qualified leads into sales while cultivating relationships with regional commercial contractors, builders, and dealers. Your aim is to introduce them to our efficient, simplified, and sustainable building systems and manufacturing solutions. The regional sales manager will assume ownership of all leads post quote for their specific region/ district through to close or to pass of to a regional/ district builder of choice to close. Additionally, you will collaborate with our estimating team and marketing team to ensure optimal customer experiences. This involves guiding customers through training and onboarding processes, as well as ensuring that job closeout procedures meet their satisfaction.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Sales
- Responsible for top-line and margin performance within your district or region.
- Accountable for outcomes in the Commercial and Contractor (builder) segment, ensuring alignment with our operational culture and expectations. This involves acquiring new business on both a project-by-project basis and establishing enduring strategic partnerships.
- In the Direct-to-Consumer segment, primarily managing leads generated by the Digital team and SDRs. After initial qualification and estimates, the sales manager takes over to finalize deals and oversee the customer journey to the point of sale.
- Develop pricing strategies for each deal to optimize profitability and competitiveness in the region, collaborating with the internal team.
- Foster relationships with regional partners capable of assembly and aligned with our people-first culture (prioritizing people, process, and profits).
- Provide regular updates to sales prospects using our CRM system. (Monday.com)
- Participate in weekly level 10 meetings with the sales team to discuss pipeline status and potential opportunities.
- Deliver timely and accurate data to our estimating, detail engineering, and installation teams, recognizing that the quality of input directly impacts outcomes.
- Lead troubleshooting and problem-solving efforts in the region/ district, coordinating the most effective responses.
- Engage builders/ dealers in training seminars and information sessions on our building systems keeping them up to date on new and innovative things pertaining to CMB.
Gross Margin Requirement
- Regional sales managers must ensure that the gross margin of sales stays within the range of 30% or higher. This ensures profitability and sustainability for Canadian Metal Buildings.
Performance Evaluation and expectations
- Performance will be regularly evaluated based on sales achievements, adherence to company values, growth of the qualified builder network, and overall contribution to company objectives.
Integration with BD and Estimating
- BD and Network Development – The BD role owns the nurture and cultivation support for individuals, GC’s or development companies seeking a unique design/build partnership. The regional sales representative may initiate the relationship and drive it, leveraging BD, or BD may initiative, in which case the regional sales representative owns conversion to sales. BD metrics are pipeline based; the regional sales manager is sales based.
- Quoting and Estimating + Detail Design -- The heart of our engine is our quoting and estimating team, which seeks to operate with both speed and precision. For C&C the regional sales manager is accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of detailed requirements, specs, desired timeframes, target costs, competitive costs, and defining what it takes to win. The estimating team is your partner in getting this done. Once a job is won, customer change orders will be accommodated through our design team, enabling rapid response to customer requests.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or similar (preferred).
- Have the ability to balance relevant means of communication (physical and virtual)
- Have a sense of urgency – respond to a customer inquiry rapidly
- Focus on the positive and strive for continual improvement
- Collaborate and operate well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Be effective at relationship management - value selling mindset.

- Be a great problem solver; understanding the root cause and address foundational issues, and then come with approaches and actions to resolve same
Experience
- Direct experience in metal buildings, bringing understanding of basic design, assembly and value propositions.
- 5+ years in direct selling roles associated with construction and metal buildings.
- Demonstrated sales outcomes around revenue, pipeline and margin.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate and build a network of partners who drive accretive topline.
- Demonstrated ability to be a zealot to drive brand experience and growth – across product and service.
Salary and Benefits
A fixed base salary of $70,000 annually.
We are currently only accepting candidates from British Columbia and Alberta.
