New Retail/Wholesale RSM Qualifications
- At least (4) years experience in building/maintaining a retail B2C sales channel with electrical wholesalers
- At least 2 years of experience managing manufacturer representative companies
- Experience in marketing, retail, wholesale electrical sales, and/or supply chain management of a retail/wholesale sales organization.
- Understanding of electrical testing, power distribution or electrical engineering is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and work experience in electrical equipment distribution or OEM channel.
- Able to travel USA and Canada 50% of the time and possibly more when needed.
- Able to work remotely and independently: computer proficient (Windows, MS Office, CRM, EDI and ERP systems).
New Retail/Wholesale RSM Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow partnerships with the electrical rep companies that we work with in the territory.
- Hire and manage sales representative companies within open territories.
- Manage all customers listed within the territory.
- Travel to customers and prospects both independently and with reps present.
- Provide regional information regarding market intelligence (Price, Competition, Programs).
- Manage and maintain current and accurate records.
- Work both independently and within a team structure when situation warrants.
- Meet and or exceed annual sales goals and growth initiatives.
- Committed to completing an objective/goal and achieving an excellent result.
- Independent thinker who is both proactive and intuitive.
- Demonstrates the capacity to adapt and relate to all types of people.
- Articulates ideas as well as listens effectively.
- Thinks strategically, with an ability to think about long-term implications.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all company personnel.
