Job Description Summary

Analyst Production I
Production Analyst I will be responsible for the initial loan analysis of multifamily properties. The Production Analyst I may also be required to assist with rate locks and the engagement of third party reports. Technical training is primarily provided by the Loan Analysis and Pipeline Manager (HCC) or Production Manager (CRE), with additional training provided by the relationship managers.

Analyst Production II
Production Analyst II will be responsible for the initial loan analysis of multifamily properties. The Production Analyst II may also be required to assist with rate locks and the engagement of third party reports. Technical training is primarily provided by the Loan Analysis and Pipeline Manager (HCC) or Production Manager (CRE), with additional training provided by the relationship managers.

Analyst Production III
Work closely with Relationship Managers to analyze and underwrite multifamily and commercial and real estate loan originations and the management of customer relationships. Analyze income property loan requests, including collateral cash flow analysis and valuation, borrower financial statements and tax returns, and market analysis. Technical training is primarily provided by the Underwriting Supervisor with additional training provided by the Relationship Managers.

Job Details

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:

Analyst Production I

  • Evaluate new loan requests by reviewing/analyzing property, borrower, and market information. Property information may include, but not limited to: rent rolls, operating history, leases and preliminary title reports. Borrower information may include, but not limited to: entity documents, financial statements and credit reports.
  • May conduct on-site property inspections to assess the physical condition, viability, quality of management and marketability of loan collateral.
  • May process rate lock requests
  • Coordinate engagement of third party reports with the appropriate parties as needed. Third party reports may include the appraisal, environmental, property inspection and PML (as required).
  • Update the loan pipeline on a daily basis to ensure that reports provided to senior management are accurate. Enter and maintain data within CRM software. Create and maintain CRM reports as necessary.
  • Support relationship managers in the preparation of investor packages and preflights.
  • Assist Commercial Capital Loan Analysis and Pipeline Management Manager with the presentation of new loan submissions to Credit Committee for approval, modified terms or denial.
  • Attend company functions, industry conferences, training classes or other activities outside the office, as required.
  • Participate in departmental policy and procedure revision and updates, as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned

Analyst Production II

  • Maintain an awareness of specific market or submarket changes which could affect the exposure of the company.
  • Work closely with the staff to ensure acceptability of risk for new loan requests.
  • Attend company functions, industry conferences, training classes or other activities outside the office, as required.
  • Participate in departmental policy and procedure revision and updates, as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned

Analyst Production III

  • Assist in complex or escalated property economic and financial analysis, accurate and timely market analysis, borrower’s financial and credit documentation.
  • May conduct on-site property inspections to assess the physical condition, viability, quality of management and marketability of loan collateral.
  • Gather, assemble, and analyze information such as property profiles, demographics, traffic counts, maps, and photos.
  • Enter data from property operating statements for preparation of Underwriter analysis.
  • Support relationship managers in the preparation of investor packages and preflights.
  • Assist borrower and Relationship Manager in the gathering and flow of information as required. Set up and manage loan files as needed.
  • May process rate lock requests
  • Update the loan pipeline on a daily basis to ensure that reports provided to senior management are accurate. Enter and maintain data within CRM software. Provide subject matter expertise in the use for CRM Software. Create and maintain CRM reports as necessary.
  • Track market information and assemble quarterly and annual market reports.
  • Assist in marketing efforts such as mining data sources for potential clients, facilitating letter campaigns, providing updates for website and other special projects.
  • Participate in departmental policy and procedure revision and updates, as necessary.
  • Assist administration team with special project, other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Analyst Production I

  • High school diploma or equivalent education/experience required, Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of related work experience
  • A proven understanding of the importance of balancing new business development and asset quality/risk management.
  • Knowledge of targeted multifamily real estate markets.
  • Experience with CMBS and portfolio loan products preferred
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to accept and facilitate change whether required by corporate needs, market or regulators.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • A self-starter, accurate and dependable in completing responsibilities with strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to think critically and independently.
  • Demonstrated high level of personal integrity, judgment, maturity, with the ability to accept responsibility and handle confidential information.
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle and liability insurance.

Analyst Production II

  • High school diploma or equivalent education/experience required, Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the analysis and review of multifamily loans, or related experience.
  • A proven understanding of the importance of balancing new business development and asset quality/risk management.
  • Knowledge of targeted multifamily real estate markets.
  • Experience with CMBS and portfolio loan products preferred
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Professional in standards, skills and manner of dealing with others.
  • Able to accept and facilitate change whether required by corporate needs, market or regulators.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • A self-starter, accurate and dependable in completing responsibilities with strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to think critically and independently.

Analyst Production III

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commercial Real Estate, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in commercial mortgage experience. Including appraisal, financial statement and tax return analysis, risk assessment and analysis, and processing of loans.
  • Well-developed written/oral communication and presentation skills. Must have proven writing skills.
  • Understanding of income property appraisal and cash flow methodology.
  • A self-starter, accurate and dependable in completing responsibilities with strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Able to work within deadlines. Proven ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Good at problem solving, researching, and decision making with the ability to think critically and independently.
  • Strong ability and desire to work with others as a team, respecting people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle and liability insurance.
  • Willing to assume duties and projects to further the goals of the company.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.

MENTAL AND PHYSICAL CONSIDERATIONS (ALL LEVELS):

  • Able to operate a Personal Computer and view information on a monitor.
  • Must be able to sit for many hours each day.
  • Must be able to communicate via telephone and possess dexterity to include filing document, reaching and bending.
  • May be required to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 10 pounds
  • Ability to speak and understand English and express ideas and have difficult conversation in person and over the telephone
  • Ability to listen and comprehend speech.
  • Ability to problem solve, make decisions, interpret data and information, read, write and organize information in an orderly manner.
  • Willing and able to travel occasionally as needed.
