Responsibilities include maintaining accounts and developing new business with customers in the Pacific Region, based out of the San Jose Regional office. The position also requires the individual to provide detailed market and technology trends to TDK factories, and the Pacific regional sales group, and manage sales strategy. The candidate will need to communicate with customers in the USA and overseas and internally with factories and sales counterparts in North America and overseas. Multi-lingual capabilities are a strong benefit. The role will give the individual the unique and valuable experience of focusing on cutting edge product development and design in activities leading to the growth and expansion of both existing and new TDK products and materials.

Selling. 20.0 Meet with or in other ways communicate with customers towards the end of selling Company products.
Customer Relationships. 20.0 Maintain customer relationships by interfacing with customer, staff (engineering, purchasing, etc.) on a regional basis.
Technical Information. 20.0 Provide technical information to customers.
Travel Time. 10.0 - 20.0 Time spent traveling to meetings or for other purposes. Does not include commuting between work and home.
Proposal Preparation. 5.0 Prepare customer proposals other than sales tools.
Product Quality Issues. 5.0 Work with customer engineering staff to address product quality issues.
Customer Entertainment. 5.0 Entertain customers in order to maintain/enhance client relationships.
Sales Planning. 5.0 Plan and/or implement sales strategies.
Meeting Preparation/Organization Meetings. 5.0 Prepare for participation in internal meetings. Attend staff, departmental or unit committee meetings.
Pricing Inquiries. 5.0 Respond to inquiries from Company and customer personnel regarding pricing issues.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree required. Business Administration or Electrical Engineering preferred.
Experience:
2 plus years of experience in related industry, preferred
