With over 75 years of experience, Melfred Borzall is a 3rd generation design, manufacturer and seller of HDD drilling tools that are key components to the successful installation of underground utilities.
Working closely with senior management, the Inside Sales Representative will join our existing team to provide excellent customer service skills and be an upbeat, creative, "glass half full" kind of person. The ideal candidate will possess mechanical knowledge, with the ability to understand and convert a customer and/or distributor’s needs/requests into a sale. In addition, the person will be a self-starter, with exceptional multi-tasking, detailed-oriented and time management skills that can handle the responsibilities assigned, with the satisfaction of knowing you will play an instrumental part in our strategic plans for incredible, sustainable growth.
Provide excellent customer service primarily over the phone;
Utilize a solutions-driven approach to assisting distributors and end-user customers;
Accurately enter sales orders into internal system;
Log calls, potential leads into our internal CRM software;
Follow-up phone calls, e-mails and customer visits;
Understand the needs of distributors and end-user customers and up-sell products and make suggestions based on needs/requirements;
Support company and distribution Outside Sales Representatives;
Cold call prospective qualified leads.
Demonstrated previous sales experience and exceptional customer service experience;
Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills;
Proficient computer skills, with the ability to keyboard at least 40 wpm; experience in Microsoft Word and sales-related software packages;
Mechanical knowledge, with the ability to understand end-product usage and translate that understanding into suggested products to meet the needs of distributors/end-user customers;
Exceptional attention to detail, time management and organizational skills; ability to meet and exceed deadlines and production goals;
Ability to work independently, as well as efficiently within a team environment.
7:00AM - 3:30PM (with flexibility), Monday – Friday
$35K - $50K DOE annual base salary for this full-time exempt position
