ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Executive Director, DoD Business Development supporting the Special Mission Solutions (SMS) Division to join our team in Herndon, VA or remotely.
Directly support ManTech’s DoD business unit and specifically the SMS mission focused on SAP related pursuits.
Leverage knowledge and relationships with Army, Navy AF customers to identify and qualify opportunities in the SAP, systems security, and mission solutions fields.
Report to the Sales Vice President for Defense. Work with the most senior managers across ManTech to develop strategy and drive business growth on the business units largest, most strategic opportunities.
Create a customer focused strategic account plan with clear objectives, goals, and actions to drive new business growth
Develop and execute a new business pipeline by identifying, qualifying, and maturing new business targets
Achieve revenue and sales goals the new business program awards
Function as the primary interface with the SMS customers and build relationships through effective leadership and communication
Develop strategies to shape requirements and acquisition strategy
Oversight of customer contact and positioning, teaming interactions and coordination with other internal business development, solution architecture and sales resources available across ManTech
Bachelors degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
Prior business development/capture experience, preferably supporting SAP programs
Track record of successful capturing and winning >$100M new business
Demonstrated ability to cross-sell capabilities and solutions across several markets
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered, particularly with military service.
The candidate must be an organized, aggressive, and highly-skilled professional with proven success in selling in a highly competitive systems engineering and professional service markets
Ability to drive /follow the Account Management
candidate must be willing to travel for the position
Experience with a variety of contract types including cost plus fixed fee, fixed price, award fee, and performance based contracting are key.

Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
The projected compensation range for this position is $138,000-$230,000. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
