We are seeking a Business Development Manager to spearhead the growth of our newly expanded fire assay, metal recycling, and chemical stone removal service lines. He/she will play an integral role in expanding UCG’s brand and overall market share within the precious metal refining industry.

Responsibilities:

This newly created role is highly pioneering in nature and offers the right candidate an excellent opportunity to make an immediate impact on both the Company’s growth as well as their own career path. Successful candidates will be highly organized and motivated B2B sales professionals who are driven by the hunt but also understand the importance of maintaining long-term relationships by providing top-notch customer service.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Growing UCG’s overall market share for precious metal refining-related services
  • Managing a base of core existing customers while aggressively pioneering new accounts within assigned regions and/or channel targets
  • Making detailed capabilities presentations and serving as UGC’s internal and external subject matter expert
  • Serving as the primary contact for all ongoing customer service and support issues
  • Working collaboratively between trading, marketing, operations, and other administrative support teams to improve the UCG customer experience and identify cross-selling opportunities
  • Building long-term relationships with existing customers
  • Proactively contacting potential customers (and vendors) to offer our full array of industry leading products and services
  • Updating the company’s CRM system and related customer files and databases
  • Ability to provide subject matter support and expertise to the trading team and marketing department
  • Representing the company at relevant trade shows, industry events, and customer meetings (as needed)

Experience Level:

  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant B2B business development experience or two (2) years of precious metal industry experience

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; business discipline preferable
  • Experience proactively pioneering profitable new accounts with a consistently high close rate
  • Previous experience with CRM software, BI, and/or customer data mining systems
  • Ability to collect and analyze sales data from internal and external sources to assist with strategic planning and sales optimization
  • Self-starter with strong independent sales management skills
  • Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales and profit goals
  • Existing knowledge of the precious metals industry highly desirable
  • Quick learner capable of learning unique product and industry knowledge quickly
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task and make decisions in fast-paced environment
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong working knowledge of all MS Office applications
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ambitious, self-motivated, entrepreneurial desire in conducting business
