Boatyard is an exciting tech company on a mission to connect the world of boating through our award-winning mobile app and SaaS software. Boat owners can now order fuel delivery, boat cleaning, service, captains and more from marine service pros with a couple of clicks on their mobile devices. Boatyard’s Software-as-a-Service platform provides marine businesses with the digital tools to manage their service requests and deliver remarkable experiences to their customers.

We’re looking for a self-motivated, customer-centric, Director of Business Development who is passionate about digital marketing, technology and the future of boating. This is a unique opportunity for a business development guru that would embrace the chance to join a small team on a path to scale.   • Designing and executing marketing strategies and plans to support our objectives and long-term growth with a focus on sales, customer awareness, revenue growth, customer experience and retention, and brand identity
  • Working with the leadership team to define and execute on quarterly sales goals
  • Brand management, product marketing and consumer insights
  • Identify and activate new strategic marketing partners
  • Manage social media channels
  • Maintain key pipeline reporting in Hubspot
  • Work cross-departmentally with our leadership, customer success and engineering teams to achieve organizational goals


  • 4+ years experience as a leader in B2B marketing and/or sales
  • 2+ years of experience marketing SaaS products
  • 2+ years of startup experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage marketing and sales teams to achieve strategic company objectives
  • Creative, organized and a self-motivator that is passionate about what they do
  • Team player who can excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and challenging work environment
  • Experience with Hubspot or similar CRMs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of the marine industry a plus

Key Accountabilities  * Create customer success plans to drive growth for each account  * Support solution design and technical implementation of current desired integrations as outlined in the customer success plan. * Monitor user adoption and product utilization and create targeted programs to increase engagement and support the agency's change management process. * Build strong relationships between the Miovision product and support teams to ensure continuous resolution of ongoing operational issues as well as product deficiencies that may come up.  * Participate in regular support and health checks to ensure accounts are continuing to derive value from our solutions * Support software renewal and upselling activities  Skills/Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalency or achievement of recognized professional level * 5+ years of technical experience; must understand network products * Ability to travel internationally, providing on-site consulting work to clients * Ability to manage multiple projects utilizing strong planning and organizational skills * Experience with general consulting skills that include team facilitation, business case development, strong business analysis skills, process mapping and process redesign * Systems implementation skills: requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management and support * Analytical nature with the ability to solve complex business issues * Basic understanding of product development and engineering processes.  We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
