Job DescriptionTypical Day in the Life
A typical day as a Solutions Architect manages and initiates all actions required to design, implement and govern tools and applications used by Eide Bailly’s service areas and might include the following:
Research, analyze and recommend new technologies and software applications to meet the stakeholder’s needs.
Communicate with business line representatives to understand project and system requirements; understand and address concerns of business line stakeholders.
Research and evaluate current or emerging technologies and critical approaches to architecture, consider their costs, compatibility, portability, scalability or usability, as appropriate for use within the Firm.
Verify and test the interoperability and security of solutions, monitor the solution to detect potential problems and perform maintenance operations for any related software or hardware.
Oversee all planning, design, programming and implementation of any internally developed applications.
Collaborate with developers, security team members, network engineers and vendors to select solutions and ensure compatibility of applicable components.
Establish strong working relationships will all service lines within the Firm.
Document requirements, design specifications and other related information.
Who You Are
You have a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, project management or related field
You have experience in one or multiple IT areas with teams of business analysts, project managers and developers.
You have strong PC skills (required).
You have experience with software development or operations.
You have experience with cloud computing and related technologies and practices.
You have project and product management experience (preferred).
You have the ability to discuss business requirements and present solution options to both stakeholders and ITS resources.
You have a strong technical background; including general data base knowledge and process flows.
You are proficient in performing business process analysis, needs analysis and system evaluation.
You have the ability to effectively present and communicate technical information.
You have the ability and desire to build effective working relationships with stakeholders through a leading to “trusted advisor status”.
You have the ability to lead, organize, develop and motivate a team; facilitating results through others.
You have the ability to work with the stakeholders to capture and document business requirements.
You have the knowledge of and interest in learning new technologies.
You have the ability to thrive in a team environment, but also work independently.
You have strong organizational skills and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
