JOB OVERVIEW
The Program Manager I will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technical, complex, cross-functional initiatives. The outcomes of this function are deployment of a professional project management capability and coordinated change management solutions – caring for people, process and technology - enabling the organization to accelerate growth, drive greater disciplined innovations, and ultimately to achieve business objectives.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan for and manage projects and programs with responsibility for leading a team of cross functional individuals to achieve often technical and complex objectives
  • Provide leadership oversight and responsible for developing and managing overall program and project health, e.g., schedule, budget, quality, change plan
  • Partner with Sponsor / Program / Organizational leadership to help shape and contribute to the project or program vision, as well as functions across the enterprise.
  • Use existing/new tools and agile/lean mechanisms to ensure key stakeholders are aware of and able to execute on plans
  • Effectively communicate complex strategies to others, interface at many levels - including adapting own style and message to diverse audiences (internally/ externally)
  • Lead complex risk identification and appropriate response planning for the project or program
  • Lead and participate in detailed cross-functional analytical efforts
  • Maintain a high-level of transparency into key decisions and issues for stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Product, Engineering, development, infrastructure, product team and services in developing project schedules, milestones, and risk analyses
  • Develop and maintain Program Documentation
  • Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.


EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education, Skills, and Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree in related field such as Business Management required, or equivalent professional work-related experience
  • Ability to demonstrate strong communication, exploration dialog, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong organizational skills, time management skills, and attention to detail


In some cases an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Preferred Education, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years related professional experience, and minimum 4 years hands on project / program management experience with technology &/or business projects
  • PMP or PRINCE2 or related certifications preferred (Lean/Agile concepts and usage)
  • Ability to understand technical subjects and emerging technologies, and their relevance and relationship to the marketplace
  • Experience tracking and translating software engineering discussions into actionable engineering tasks and next steps
  • Ability to work well and exert influence as a member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members
  • Payment Experience a plus including program/project experience leading digital transformational efforts
