Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Solar Energy Sales Manager to lead our dynamic sales team. This sales manager will operate as an independent contractor. As an independent contractor, you will have the autonomy to manage your own sales strategies and operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership within the solar or renewable energy sector and is skilled in developing strategies that drive sales growth while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
You will have the ability to utilize your own resources to effectively:
- Lead and mentor a team of solar sales consultants to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Develop strategic sales plans to expand customer base and maintain high customer retention rates.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with the latest market trends.
- Analyze performance data to identify opportunities for sales process improvement.
- Engage in direct customer interactions to close sales and gather market intelligence.
- Ensure the sales team is consistently informed about new products, services, and industry standards.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to maximize team performance.
- Foster a culture of success and ongoing business and goal achievement.
- Help your team generate and develop leads through various channels (door-to-door, networking, referrals, etc.)
- Educate your team and potential clients on the benefits of solar energy and our products.
- Provide customized solutions that meet customers' energy needs.
- Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring a smooth transition for the client.
- Stay informed on industry trends, company offerings, and competitive landscape
- Maintain strong relationships with customers to drive referrals and repeat business.
Qualifications:
- Valid H.I.S. License (Home Improvement Salesperson) - Required.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in sales management, preferably in the solar or renewable energy sector.
- Proven ability to lead sales teams to achieve quotas and objectives.
- Strong analytical skills to determine pricing and profitability strategies.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Proficient in CRM software and sales management tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable transportation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Environmental Science, or a related field.
