JOB TITLE: Account Manager

REPORTS TO: Vice President of Sales CLASSIFICATION: Exempt

We are a leading third-party logistics provider headquartered in Napa, CA. We are currently seeking to fill the position of Account Manager. This position is under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Sales

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for all sales activities in the assigned region or accounts to include managing the quality and consistency of the Company’s product and service delivery performance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Markets and sells the Company’s products and services to existing customer base and potential new customers ensuring high level of customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Prepares sales and marketing plans to identify specific targets, develop leads and close business. Follows up on new leads and industry referrals.

  • Develops and maintains sales material. Prepares and delivers sales and marketing presentations, proposals and contracts.

  • Represents the Company at industry trade events.
  • Prepares a variety of status reports including activity, closings, follow-up and adherence to goals.

  • Collaborates with internal client team to ensure the customer experience is fantastic at all touch points. Remains up to date with company policy, industry trends/developments, and product knowledge.

Qualified candidates should have the following education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or related degree or equivalent. Five to seven years of experience in sales, marketing, and account management; in-depth knowledge of the wine industry required; operations and logistics knowledge preferred.

  • Proven track record in achieving sales objectives and developing long-term business relationships. Ability to think creatively in all aspects of the sales and marketing process.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to represent the Company effectively and professionally.

  • High standard of ethics and professionalism along with ability to work independently and collaborate with a team.

  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills to manage priorities and workflow.

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with Salesforce.

  • Ability to travel within region on a regular basis.
