Company Summary: Stellar Ventures Merchant Holding (SVMH) owns and manages portfolio of brands that focus on full-service manufacturing services (including broach tooling and ancillary services, prototype tools, dies, fixtures and reverse engineering services for complex components). In addition, SVMH owned brands manufacture wire/tube straightening machinery, as well as equipment used in the aluminum casting/plastic molding process. Our customers are businesses in the medical, aerospace, automotive and other industrial and technology related industries.

We are looking for an experienced outside manufacturing sales representative.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The outside manufacturing sales representative is responsible for selling SVMH manufacturing services and machinery through networking, working with existing customers, cold calling, and promotion. They will work to grow business with new accounts and develop existing customer relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Make in-person sales calls to new and existing customers.
  • Work with contacts to build rapport, determine customer requirements and expectations in order to obtain a request for quote, follow-up as appropriate, and secure business.
  • Work directly with management to establish quarterly/annual contact targets and sales goals; develop strategies to meet those targets and goals and work hard to achieve them.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of manufacturing sales experience. A proven track record of showing solid increases in sales and in new customer acquisition is required.
  • Mechanically inclined with some technical knowledge of metal working & cutting.
  • Ability to travel in the Northeast extensively with some National travel.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High School Diploma. Associate’s Degree in machining or similar technical skill is a plus.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.

Compensation:

$60,000 to $80,000 Base Salary (DOE) + Commission & Bonus

Requirements (What we look for in candidates): Must-haves: - 4-8 years of work experience in any customer-facing sales role. - Clear, concise, and effective written and oral communication skills. - Empathy towards customers and understanding their needs. - Interest, curiosity, and openness to learning new technologies. - Prior exposure to tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, DiscoverOrg, ZoomInfo, etc. - Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders as well as end customers. - Learning mindset and the right attitude that will help you thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. - Ability to handle rejections and stay focused and driven. - Ability to multi-task and manage your tasks effectively. - Flexibility in working in different shifts/regions. This is absolutely mandatory because you will be expected to work in a specific shift for a minimum of two years. Good to have: - Prior work experience in SaaS product companies in domains relevant to Freshworks' suite of products. - A proven track record of consistency in overachieving targets.
