Position Overview
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will play a crucial role in driving the growth of our EHS SaaS solutions. You will be the first point of contact for potential clients, responsible for generating and qualifying leads, and building strong relationships with prospects. Your goal will be to understand the unique challenges of each prospect and position our software as the solution that meets their needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Identify, research, and target potential clients within the EHS industry using a variety of channels including cold calling, email campaigns, social media, and networking.
- Qualifying Leads: Engage with prospects to understand their EHS challenges, needs, and pain points. Qualify leads based on predefined criteria to ensure they are a good fit for our software solutions.
- Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations. Understand their business goals and position our software as a strategic solution.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our EHS software, its features, benefits, and how it compares to competitors. Be able to clearly articulate the value proposition to prospects.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to develop strategies for lead generation, nurturing, and conversion. Provide feedback on lead quality and market trends.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospect interactions, activities, and status updates in the CRM system.
- Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly targets for lead generation, qualified leads, and conversions.
Qualifications
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a similar BDR, SDR, or sales role, preferably within the SaaS industry.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to engage and build rapport with prospects over the phone, email, and in person.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to understand prospect needs and match them with appropriate solutions.
- Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with a willingness to work closely with sales and marketing teams.
- Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using CRM systems, sales enablement tools, and other technology platforms.
