TELECO Supply Co Ltd, also known as TELECO Wireless or simply TELECO, is a leading Tbaytel Authorized Dealer located at 601 Central Ave in Thunder Bay. As a Tbaytel Authorized Dealer, we sell the Tbaytel suite of products from Home Services – Home Phone, TV, & Internet – to Mobility Services – Cell Phones, Smartphones, & Rocket Hubs – and provide after sales support you can count on.

TELECO is a locally owned and operated business with over 35 years of connecting Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario.

Reports to: Retail Sales Manager

Job Description

Our Sales Consultants are the first person to be seen by a customer when they walk through our doors. It is the job of our Sales Consultants to get to know our customers, what brings them into the store and to find the best solutions for their needs. Our customers expect us to be knowledgeable on the latest Smartphones and to be able to explain the differences between them.

Main Job Functions

Greet the customer when they walk in the door.

Inquire as to what brought them into the store today.

Explain the differences of the different devices to our customers.

Help the customer to find the best solutions for their needs.

Ensure TELECO, Tbaytel and vendor training is completed and up to date at all times.

Participation in team meetings.

Assist management with tasked when asked.

Assist in the sales flow and rotation of customers with co-workers.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Knowledge and excitement about Wireless products and services (previous 6 months).

Knowledge of the Tbaytel services we offer.

Ability to communicate with both technical and non technical customers.

Act as a team member by providing support to other team members.

Maintain a positive attitude about your work environment and organization.

Accountabilities

Understanding of Key Performace Indicators ’s and “The TELECO Way”.

Sending customers devices out for warranty repairs.

Keep the retail area clean and fully stocked/merchandised properly (no empty accessory hooks, phone holders and price cards, and updated collateral, etc.)

Participation in the rotation of customer with the rest of the retail sales team.

Salary: From $14.25 per hour

Additional pay:

  • Commission pay

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends

COVID-19 considerations:
All customers and staff are required to wear masks and have a temperature check. We have plexi barriers between our staff and customers at the sales counters and have strong cleaning regiments. We also offer our customers curbside pickup or delivery.
