Job Description

International (Japanese) trading company specializing in steel, machinery and industrial materials. Seeking an experienced sales representative in our Torrance, CA office for full time employment. Position will be responsible for outside sales of steel and resin commodities and also strive to create business opportunities with new commodities/business plans.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage entire sales cycle and communication with sales support team to monitor invoices, import/export documentation, monitoring credit limits etc.

· Maintaining existing customer accounts and developing new business opportunities.

· Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction.

  • Conduct research to identify new demands and customer needs.
  • Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications,

and announcements.

  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients.
  • Cold calls to reach suppliers and customers to develop new opportunities.
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices, etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.
  • Build long-term relationships with new customers.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree along with 3-10 years relevant sales experience.

· Great communication skills and open to new challenges.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, proactive thinking.

· Good understanding of PDCA cycle, ability to handle multiple tasks, detail orientation.

· Proven history of sales and marketing success in the US market (B-to-B)

  • Analytical, problem-solving skills.
  • Japanese, Korean, Spanish literacy a plus (not required).
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
