US Synthetic, a ChampionX company, has an immediate need for a Bearings New Business Development Manager located in Orem, UT. The Bearings Development Manager plays a strategic role in expanding the Bearings business into new markets and identifying opportunities to increase revenue for the division. This position involves a blend of analytical and creative thinking to analyze potential markets, conduct market research, and develop strategies for market expansion. The successful candidate should have strong analytical abilities, an understanding of rotations machinery market participants, dynamics and the ability to drive growth in a rapidly evolving business environment.

What You Will Do:

Market Analysis and Strategy

Develops and executes strategies to expand market share and penetrate new markets.
- Identify and assess potential new markets and customers
- Analyze market trends and competition to identify opportunities for market expansion
- Identify opportunities to expand the business, including through partnerships, mergers, and new markets

Define the product’s unique selling points, benefits, and competitive advantages to differentiate it from rival offerings
- Determine the optimal pricing strategy for the product based on factors such as production costs, perceived value, competitor pricing, and customer willingness to pay.
- Conduct pricing analysis and price setting to maximize profitability.

Develops and executes strategies to expand market share and penetrate new markets.

Industry Knowledge
- Maintain a detailed understanding of the industry and customer needs
- Conduct a thorough analysis of competitors to understand their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats
- Stay informed about changes in the industry and recommend strategies to adapt to evolving market conditions

Marketing and Relationship Building
- Assess risks involved with new initiatives, ensure deadlines are met, and be ready to handle unexpected situations
- Communicate with new customers and partners to facilitate growth
- Work with co-workers and other departments to devise new business plans to drive market expansion
- Develop and manage the market expansion budget and track return on investment (ROI)
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure the successful integration of new markets
- Monitor the progress of market expansion initiatives and report on key metrics.
- Develop a clear and compelling value proposition for the product and create messaging that resonates with target customers.
- Develop a comprehensive go-to-market strategy that outlines how the product will be launched, especially to new clients.
- Follow all company policies (Attendance, No Tobacco Products on Campus, Illegal Drug & Alcohol, Family Medical Leave Act, Personal Appearance, Personal Electronic Devices, Vacation & Personal Time, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED is required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
- 7 years of experience in commercial management with a focus on Bearings and Pump Solutions
- Experience implementing new business plans to drive market expansion
- Experience in building relationships with new customers and partners to facilitate growth
- Proficient in Microsoft Office

Physical Demands:
- Sitting and standing for long periods of time for up to or exceeding 8 hours
- Walk through factory as needed
- Use of Safety Equipment (Safety Glasses, steel-toed shoes, and other PPE when required)
- Traveling to customer offices, industry tradeshows, and field locations
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and drive projects to successful completion.
- Experience with global markets and an understand of international product commercialization strategies is a plus
- Ability to develop and manage budgets, understand financial statements and assess the financial implications of product decisions
- Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools to manage timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
- A go-getter attitude with a self-starter mindset, ready to take on tasks without needing detailed directions.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically while also being willing to get hands-on to ensure successful product launches
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct pricing analysis and market research
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proven experience in product commercialization, product management, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of commercial principles, and risk management
- Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
