Job Description

The Business Development Manager’s role - Freight Forwarding is primarily to achieve sales and gross margin objectives established across defined geographical markets and/or specific industry targets. This position determines the short-term and long-term success of the company. Working with the Operations and Customer Service teams, the Business Development create sales and also determine the gross margin rates and dollars the company achieves. The Business Development Manager must represent the organization in a manner consistent with the mission, vision, and values statements.
As high-performance team members, the Sales Development Managers are expected to have and maintain superior knowledge of the markets that are their primary targets; they are to act as a willing resource to the rest of the Company regarding their target markets and be enthusiastic contributors to the overall success of the ITN team.

This position is ultimately responsible for the delivery of sales and gross profit objectives annually.
  • Achieves Sales and Gross Profit objectives, as well as other defined KPI’s, for the Year
  • Develops a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, face-to-face cold calling on business owners, email, and networking.
  • Working with all the appropriate members of the ITN team to ensure each existing or potential client receives timely accurate quotes and all the support information that enables the client to make their decisions in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Ensure the client information and quote processes are adhered to so that the day-to-day activities influenced by the Sales Development Manager Role meet or exceed ITN standards for productivity and professionalism.
  • Maintain the CRM database and update all entries according to current agreed processes
  • Represent ITN in the Industry at; Trades Shows, Industry Events, and all other appropriate venues to position ITN as the Freight Forwarder of choice.
  • Demonstrates the ability to gather, submit detailed business information for underwriting, pricing, and presentation of solutions to identified prospects' business problems.
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes
  • Ensuring the selling efforts are consistent with the ITN Brand and are sufficient to achieve the objectives established.
  • Manage daily functioning of all new client relationships.
  • Ensure the resources of the company are all utilized effectively to ensure all clients receive the same high standard of service.
  • Be the Company ambassador of the ITN Brand as a quality, consumer-centric, timely service provider that delivers against its value proposition.
  • Contribute to the Team within ITN to ensure all areas influenced by this role receive timely, accurate information and support.

Key Accountabilities  * Create customer success plans to drive growth for each account  * Support solution design and technical implementation of current desired integrations as outlined in the customer success plan. * Monitor user adoption and product utilization and create targeted programs to increase engagement and support the agency's change management process. * Build strong relationships between the Miovision product and support teams to ensure continuous resolution of ongoing operational issues as well as product deficiencies that may come up.  * Participate in regular support and health checks to ensure accounts are continuing to derive value from our solutions * Support software renewal and upselling activities  Skills/Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalency or achievement of recognized professional level * 5+ years of technical experience; must understand network products * Ability to travel internationally, providing on-site consulting work to clients * Ability to manage multiple projects utilizing strong planning and organizational skills * Experience with general consulting skills that include team facilitation, business case development, strong business analysis skills, process mapping and process redesign * Systems implementation skills: requirements/process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management and support * Analytical nature with the ability to solve complex business issues * Basic understanding of product development and engineering processes.  We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
