Team and role overview
The M&A GTM Integration Product Management team plays a critical role at Salesforce in leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives within our newly acquired Cloud Companies and the Business Technology organization. Product leaders focus on capabilities across the customer life-cycle, with emphasis on the Lead to Compensation (L2C) areas as priority for modernization, integration synergy and scale. Product Managers in this team are geographically diverse, domain aligned, and work across M&A programs through from beginning to end, ensuring continuity from integration to integration and more effective communication with the core Salesforce systems and teams. This role will conduct current and future state analysis to determine fit-gaps, risks/impact to the existing business motions to resolve before go-live, and deliver roadmap and engineering stories in conjunction with their domain counter-parts. Cross-functional collaboration is key and an area for growth, so this individual will need to bring a demonstrated track-record for being intellectually curious, a team player and the ability to evolve teams and processes to the next level.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Engage customers and stakeholders to determine data and object models needed to deliver business requirements, technical considerations, and strategic objectives, as well as provide recommendations based on your industry and product experience

  • Collaborate on M&A and Q2C data frameworks promoting agile, iterative practice to migrate complex acquisitions and cross-entity collaboration

  • Define gaps between New Cloud Current State, Roadmap and RevOps current policies and processes. Look for ways to simplify current and future processes with validation rules and data integration points for more automation

  • Define product and business capability KPIs (short and long term) and provide regular updates to the Business and Workstream Leads and the SteerCo/Executive team on progress

  • Use data analysis to determine strategy to advance operations for customers in all segments and provide analysis on how to move the segments across capabilities and technology paths to reach business outcomes

  • Support data deliverables for decision support and operational processes and system and process implementations for Salesforce Core systems integration strategies; this includes project management responsibilities

  • Design and build out strategy key performance indicators and Tableau reporting toolkits for the product team implementing the new Salesforce Revenue Cloud offering with a goal to directly influence and inform Salesforce product development strategy and features

  • Create data visualizations & reports that help teams with planning and project execution; Provide timely and accurate reporting to a variety of teams, on a range of topics

  • Partner with cross-functional teammates to drive workgroup alignment meetings to address tactical release issues, dependencies, team status, production issues, metrics review, milestones, etc. (cross functional - Product Management, Scrum Masters, Engineering, Platform Engineering, TechOps, Release Engineering, Capacity, Functional Managers, Release Management, etc.)

  • Participate in program reviews (deep dive into current state of project goals, risks, escalations) in whatever forum required; anticipate and remove obstacles with a sense of urgency which prevent project teams from delivering on project goals

  • Mentors new and senior level Individual Contributors (ICs) steps back and encourages other voices to join in. Is aware of how much time is taken up by dominant members of the group. Provides alternate ways to contribute or participate when possible.

  • Be a catalyst within the organization, someone who can help advance our Product & Technology strategy globally and drive others in the organization to change

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years professional experience in analytics, finance, statistics or other related fields or relative enterprise software/product management or engineering experience at an enterprise technology company

  • 3+ years of successfully implementing and managing SaaS product development programs; strong knowledge of the SaaS business model and its product development lifecycle

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation.

  • Exceptional data analysis skills, including attention to detail and ability to manage various data points to achieve a common goal (people knowledge, data warehouse, Excel files, external tools, other internal data)

  • Deep experience with the software development lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies

  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives, working teams and technical and non-technical team members alike

  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and relationship building skills conducive to driving consensus; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.

  • Ability to see the bigger picture and prioritize accordingly; Flexible but knows how to hold the line (Firm but Fair).

  • Comfortable with ambiguity; thrives in a changing environment while performing in a calm and focused manner

  • Strong and effective verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent self-management practices and an independent thinker; exceptional work ethic; self directed and resourceful

  • Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks at one time

  • Proven project execution skills with a strong desire to document best practices and process improvements
