We are seeking a passionate, productive, fresh, and enthusiastic Full-Time Director of Sales and Marketing to join our outstanding team.

**$5,000 sign on bonus**

This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic sales leader in the Portland, Oregon market who can appreciate representing a Hilton-branded hotel that offers over 45,000 square feet of rejuvenated meeting space, including our private 8,500 sq. ft. Executive Meeting Center (EMC) and 477 oversized guest rooms.

Located in the Lloyd Center Neighborhood (a partner in the Lloyd EcoDistrict) and within walking distance of the Oregon Convention Center, Moda Center and Portland Memorial Coliseum.

Job overview

The Director of Sales and Marketing leads the strategic planning and execution of the Sales Department’s goals and objectives. Utilize prospecting skills and strong business sense to consistently exceed room night and revenue goals. Recruit, deploy, motivate, support and grow a team of Sales Managers to do the same. Develop and work within the stated budgets. Report and critique all Sales activities to the General Manager. Support all Corporate and hotel initiatives as needed.

  • 3 years previous hotel sales experience required.
  • Supervisory skills and experience working with Convention Visitor Bureau business is preferred.
  • Candidate must be able to show proven achievement of sales goals and possess a broad knowledge of all market segments.
  • Position requires travel on a national level to attend conferences and conduct sales calls as needed.
  • Candidate should have a proven record of independent, self-motivated work habits & desire to succeed in a highly competitive environment; effective time management principles and organizational skills; strong English writing skills and proven verbal communication abilities.
  • Candidate must be willing to work AM/PM/weekend shifts as necessary.
  • Must have dedication to extraordinary customer service and professionalism as well as hospitality-focused qualities and a courteous demeanor.
  • Knowledge of sustainable hotel and meeting practices is preferred.
  • Availability Requirement: All hours and all days of the week
