Simplistic is the go-to agency for Shopify Plus. We design, develop and optimize
e-commerce websites for the world's most ambitious brands. Brands we work with include: Walmart, Loeffler Randall, Fashion Nova, Ritual Vitamins and Hubble Contacts. We’re a team of 60+ designers, developers and e-comm consultants - spread across the Northeast and Southern California. We’ve doubled in size over the last year and are looking for more bright, ambitious and enthusiastic people to join our team.

What we're looking for:
We’re seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to create and manage a sales organization. Simplistic is uniquely positioned as a leading Shopify Plus Agency, and the Business Development Manager will report directly to the Co Managing Partner of Simplistic and be instrumental in our goal to double in size over the next 18 months. The ideal candidate will have a track record of building and/or managing a Sales and Marketing Team, specifically in the technology or technology services space.

*Must be able to conduct meetings in NYC as necessary*

  • In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods as well as employee motivation techniques
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Strategic thinker who can come up with creative solutions for bringing in new business
  • Team player who can coordinate with technical and design experts to close deals
  • Detail oriented

Practical experience

  • Minimum of 4 years experience working in a selling role (software, SaaS or technology services)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a sales leadership position.
  • Experience managing CRM tools (Hubspot, Salesforce, etc)
  • Experience collaborating with and/or overseeing Marketing teams or external marketing agencies
  • Experience building top of funnel campaigns
  • Experience creating and documenting sales processes

Bonus points if you have

  • Experience using and/or selling Shopify Plus software

What you’ll be doing:

  • Identifying sales pipelines and opportunities, and creating strategic plans to capitalize on those pipelines
  • Hire and manage a sales and marketing team
  • Set sales goals and develop sales opportunities
  • Initially prepare and send quotes and proposals (eventually will be the responsibility of Sales Executive)
  • Run daily/weekly sales meetings
  • Tracking sales goals and reporting results as necessary
  • Developing your sales team through motivation, counseling and product knowledge education
  • Understand our ideal customer and cater our sales process to their needs
  • Ideate thought-leadership opportunities

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
