Western Packaging Solutions are a supplier of bulk packaging solutions and related products, serving the North American market and based in the Montréal suburb of Kirkland.


Your role:

This new and fast-growing business unit is expanding its sales team and is looking to add an Account Manager to our expanding sales team. Involving cold calling, working lead lists, building a customer base from the ground up and expanding share of wallet in a group of related products serving multiple markets in defined regions in North America (by territory). This position reports into the business unit leader. Regular activities will involve new business development, using our new CRM system, cold calling/prospecting, negotiation, closing and account management. Technical training in the products is provided.

Your responsibilities:

  • Working within your assigned account portfolio to create new opportunities through an outbound approach
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with prospective clients
  • Develop a new book of business utilizing proven prospecting techniques (cold calls, emails…)
  • Build and present winning quotes (factoring cost, freight, duties, storage…) to prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with the international sourcing team to identify new business opportunities
  • Forecaste territory and segment performance
  • Organize and maintain customer files and customer master
  • Escalate any issues to senior management
  • Collaborate with Ensure other team members sharing industry insights and problem solving

What should you have to be a successful candidate:

  • 1-3 years experience in phone sales
  • Comfortable with high volume cold calls
  • Curious and inquisitive about product expansion
  • Ability to build meaningful relationships with customers
  • Objective-driven individual, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and positive attitude
  • Friendly, at ease with and effective at cold calling / prospecting activities
  • Organized, flexible and business savvy
  • Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Familiar working with freight forwarders, logistics and base level negotiations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English

Votre rôle

Cette nouvelle unité commerciale, qui est en pleine croissance, et dont l’équipe de vente est en pleine expansion, est à la recherche d’un gestionnaire de compte. Ce poste relève du chef de l'unité commerciale et implique le démarchage téléphonique, le maintien et le développement des listes de prospects, la constitution d'une nouvelle base de clients et de la croissance du portefeuille dans un groupe de produits connexes desservant plusieurs marchés dans des régions définies en Amérique du Nord (par territoire). Les activités régulières impliqueront le développement de nouvelles affaires, en utilisant notre nouveau système CRM, le démarchage téléphonique / prospection, la négociation, la fermeture des ventes et la gestion des comptes. Une formation technique sur les produits est fournie.


Vos responsabilités

  • Gérer la performance des prévisions de vente par segment et par territoire
  • Travailler à partir du portefeuille de comptes qui vous a été attribué pour créer de nouvelles opportunités grâce à la prospection téléphonique
  • Faire croitre votre portefeuille de comptes en utilisant des techniques de prospection éprouvées (prospection téléphonique, courriels, etc.)
  • Construire et présenter des devis gagnants (frais d'affacturage, fret, droits, stockage, etc.) aux clients potentiels
  • Collaborer avec l'équipe de sourcing internationale pour identifier de nouvelles opportunités commerciales
  • Prévoir les performances du territoire et du segment
  • Organiser et maintenir les dossiers clients
  • Faire remonter tout problème à la haute direction
  • Collaborer avec les autres membres de l'équipe pour s’assurer de partager des informations sur l'industrie et favoriser la résolution de problèmes
