Job Title: Sales Analyst

Location: Montreal, QC

General Accountability:

The Sales Analyst provides key sales, category analysis and business presentation tools to the Sales Team. The position focuses on leveraging the customer and market specific information in order to determine actionable opportunities to help the account team reach its business plan objectives.

Critical Success Factors:

  • Source, analyze, and prepare recommendations using the category and account information that is available from sources such as BW, AC Nielsen and customer specific POS data.
  • Develop account specific category business presentations in conjunction with the needs as identified by the Account Team, using fact based selling with tolls such as ACNielsen, SAP shipments, retailers POS data.
  • Work closely with the Supply Chain cross functional team members to monitor and adjust weekly sales forecasts in SAP for respective categories to ensure the most accurate updates are made on a timely basis.
  • Provide store by store allocation of strategic events in accordance with the account team and the customer’s sales forecast agreement. Conduct post analysis of all promotional activity, using ACNielsen or retailers’ POS data, and provide feedback and recommendation to improve future execution.
  • Execute, communicate, and follow-up on in-store programs such as demos, on shelf programs and major events, coordinating with the field team and cross functional marketing team as required.
  • Direct accountability for all Field Sales Team communication - Priority Calendar Updates, New Store/store conversion updates, and identification of distribution and merchandising opportunities. The Sales Analyst acts as a catalyst to receive feedback from the field sales which may require assistance from the account team at the procurement office.
  • Prepare adhoc reports and other administrative requirements such as new item forms, item maintenance, and Nielsen as required by the account team.
  • Prepare pricing and deal sheets based on Account Managers directives and implement all required information in the Lactalis EMS system.

Key Attributes of the Ideal Candidate:

  • University degree or College diploma
  • Two (2) years sales experience and effectively managing a territory is an asset
  • Exceptional analytical and planning skills
  • Proficient with standard office computer technology such as Lotus Notes and highly proficient with Microsoft Office products (i.e. Excel)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Advanced time management skills
