Position Overview: Experienced Logistics and Transportation professional skilled in Asset and Logistics sales/business development. The Trucking Sales Business Development Manager (BDM) at Force Solutions is responsible for driving the growth of our customer base and logistics operations through a consultative sales approach. In this role, you will use innovative prospecting techniques and relationship management to secure new business and enhance revenue share for Force Solutions. The BDM will evaluate both internal and external logistics data to ensure accuracy, maintain proper records, and provide reliable forecasts. Understanding and effectively communicating Force Solutions' value proposition will be key to your success.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to meet sales targets and department goals.
- Collaborate with Sales Development Representatives, Key Account Managers, Operations teams, and leadership to ensure that customer needs are met.
- Monitor and report on market trends; generate data-driven quotes and coordinate proposals and bids alongside team leads to create mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Negotiate logistics agreements with customers, recording all terms and conditions.
- Use a consultative sales process to establish and nurture long-term customer relationships; leverage product and service knowledge to clearly communicate Force Solutions' value proposition.
- Help foster productive relationships with both customers and internal colleagues.
- Work effectively as part of a team, providing and welcoming feedback to contribute to a positive team culture.
- Adhere to Force Solutions' core values and competencies in all actions and interactions, demonstrating reliability and integrity.
- The position may occasionally require work outside of regular business hours, and infrequent travel may be necessary.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Higher education (associate or bachelor’s degree) is preferred but not required.
- At least one year of experience in B2B sales is preferred.
- Strong understanding of marketing strategies, sales tools, and customer service principles.
- Innovative thinker with a proven record of results-driven success.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to navigate internet research tools and social media platforms.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on metrics and results.
- A high level of integrity and strong work ethic.
- Excellent customer service and retention abilities.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight travel when necessary.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
