Your Job
As the Digital Operations Engineer, you will facilitate development and deployment for the website while improving security and accessibility standards. You will manage technical conflicts during development, redress production support issues, and work with stakeholders to provide robust solutions to meet business objectives. You will implement and improve CI/CD processes, optimize the development workflow for speed and security, and help maintain the infrastructure of a rapidly-growing eCommerce storefront. You will join a small team dedicated to implementing DevOps best practices in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment, reducing friction and improving efficiency with every managed change.


    • Implement and improve coordinated integrations across the system architecture.
    • Establish security and accessibility technical compliance in concert with IT and governance procedures.
    • Evaluate technical capabilities of new and existing systems and make recommendations for future growth.
    • Diagnose and develop solutions for production support issues.
    • Collaborate with Development, QA, IT, and business partners to drive the successful implementation of e-commerce initiatives
    • Manage the final stage of releasing code for new features, bug fixes, etc. to production (go live).
    • Partner with vendors to ensure that their technical solutions used with the Brooks platform are highly performant, well maintained and supported.
    • Build robust deployment pipelines with test automation and ensure code quality maintenance.
    • Maintain non-production environments and resolve development conflicts.


    • BS in CS, IT, Systems Administration, Network Operations or combination of equivalent certifications, work, and/or military experience
    • 5+ years of experience in software development, QA, IT, or related fields
    • 2+ years of experience with DevOps, CI/CD methodologies, and associated tools (Jenkins, AWS, Azure, Git and Gitflow)
    • JavaScript and one of bash or PowerShell required; Python, C#, Java desired
    • Experience managing multiple cloud-based integrations and reconciling system conflicts
    • Experience with security and accessibility compliance across the development and production lifecycle
    • Experience with automated deployment testing and shift-left mindset
    • Experience with implementing and improving Agile methodologies, especially Scrum and Lean (Kanban)
    • Passionate about DevOps transformation with experience in evangelizing culture change
    • Strong team-oriented bias and communication skills between technical and non-technical resources
    • Able to engage during off-hours and on-call as needed by major incident remediation process
