About the Position: We’re seeking an innovative, driven and dedicated individual to join our team as Senior Business Development Manager. The incumbent is responsible for identifying and converting prospects into clients leading to an overall sales increase for the organization. This position reports to the Founder & CEO and is a full-time, permanent position.

Key Responsibilities :

  • The primary role of the Business Development Manager is to prospect for new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients
  • Plan persuasive approaches and pitches that will convince potential clients to do business with the company
  • Work with team to develop proposals that speaks to client’s needs, concerns and objectives
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with partner associations and customers for generating sales leads
  • Strategic planning is a key part of this role, since it is the business manager’s responsibility to develop the pipeline of new business coming to the company
  • Prepare and deliver value-added presentations to clients
  • Collects and communicates information on BuyProperly investment products
  • Track and maintain customer data in the CRM
  • Identifying and participating in key industry events that provide high visibility and growth opportunities for the organization
  • Participates in the development of sales strategies, plans, trade shows and marketing tools
  • Travel within the GTA and elsewhere, as necessary, to support sales efforts
  • Performs any other task, deemed as important (example market research)

Required Competencies :

  • Business degree, or equivalent
  • Previous experience and proven results in B2Csales environment
  • 3 to 5 years experience in prospecting and lead generation preferably in Investments/Financial Services/Real estate
  • Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)
  • Good computer skills (MS Office, Internet)
  • Has a passion for sales and business development
  • Negotiation skills and excellent closer
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Autonomous
  • Well-structured and possesses good time management skills

Requirements (What we look for in candidates): Must-haves: - 4-8 years of work experience in any customer-facing sales role. - Clear, concise, and effective written and oral communication skills. - Empathy towards customers and understanding their needs. - Interest, curiosity, and openness to learning new technologies. - Prior exposure to tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, DiscoverOrg, ZoomInfo, etc. - Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders as well as end customers. - Learning mindset and the right attitude that will help you thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. - Ability to handle rejections and stay focused and driven. - Ability to multi-task and manage your tasks effectively. - Flexibility in working in different shifts/regions. This is absolutely mandatory because you will be expected to work in a specific shift for a minimum of two years. Good to have: - Prior work experience in SaaS product companies in domains relevant to Freshworks' suite of products. - A proven track record of consistency in overachieving targets.
