Job Description
As a salaried sales rep for Beynon Sports in Northern California, the following job description of roles and responsibilities is expected to be performed.
The primary purpose of this position is to engage with customers and generate business for Beynon Sports in Northern California by directly communicating internally with coworkers and externally with architects, school business officials, construction managers, general contractors, sub-contractors, athletic directors, and coaches. Primarily focuses on track and tennis projects including repairs, maintenance, new installations, resurfacing and or renovation projects and general construction projects through calls, emails, site meetings, and presentations. In addition to track and tennis, communicates and works with the Regional Field Turf representative on track and field opportunities. Serves as regional customer service liaison; supports Ops team by attending project progress meetings.
SUMMARY - GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
- Develop and execute a thorough strategy for the region, to engage and stay in touch with customers by establishing and maintaining key relationships while cultivating and generating business for future and repeat track and tennis surfacing solutions, as well as select civil and general contracting opportunities.
- Performs pre-bid functions, to include procurement necessary plans and specifications, scope review, request for quotes from Ops for pricing, conducts site survey and communicates with applicable parties (architect, CM, contractors (general and sub), and project owners.
- Attends Pre-bid meetings.
- Assists the internal support effort when applicable with bid process, forms, and qualifies sub / prime contractors.
- Attends pre-construction and progress meetings.
- Conducts site visits and verifies conditions pre-sale and documents critical site details to Ops.
- Ensure construction execution complies with the plans and specifications together with Operations team.
- Ensure proper staging area for equipment and materials.
- Maintains sales pipeline and opportunity forecast, reporting to Director of Sales, Northern California
- Monitors and communicates changes in the scope of a project and opportunities for additional revenue to Director of Sales, Northern California
- Works with customers and Ops to resolve sales, operational and technical issues, and challenges.
- Regional travel and attendance at industry tradeshows and conferences.
