Job Description
Purpose:
The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and growing Noble Company’s existing customer base as well as prospecting for new business opportunities within the assigned territory. This position develops and implements sound selling strategies that ensure revenue goals are on target or greater.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Develops new business by assessing needs, building relationships, qualifying potential opportunities, and closing sales.
2. Maintains existing customer base while expanding Noble’s position to increase brand awareness and market share.
3. Will be available to visit job sites for mockup support and direction.
4. Represents Noble Company at trade shows and other industry meetings.
5. Creates a sales plan for each market, presents it to management, collaborates on sales goals, implements the plan while recording progress regularly, and holds quarterly reviews with the Noble management team.
6. Identifies and creates contact with the key general contractors, flooring contractors, architects, developers and other influencers within your markets.
7. Introduces, demonstrates and promotes all current and new products.
8. Keeps well informed on industry changes, competitor products and pricing, new product needs and continually works to improve sales techniques and sales knowledge.
9. Initiates project quotes and provides accurate details and specifications based off contractor and job needs.
10. Travels to in-person visits and trainings throughout the assigned territory up to or greater than 50% annually.
11. Maintains detailed records while preparing communications and reports as needed.
12. Interacts professionally on a regular basis with staff, internal and external teams, vendors, and the public.
13. Assumes additional responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed.
Required Qualifications:
Education, Training and/or Experience:
1. A minimum of 2 years of sales experience in a related industry in an increasingly expanded role.
2. Hands-on experience with flooring products or installation materials.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
2. Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
3. Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs.
4. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Teams, PowerPoint, and Excel, Salesforce and the use of the internet.
5. Developed analytical and problem-solving abilities.
6. Ability to read, write and interpret plans and specifications.
7. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
8. High degree of initiative and independent judgment with a strong team core.
9. Results oriented with proven business acumen.
10. Ability to express self effectively and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
11. Ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail and good follow-up skills.
12. Self-motivated, proactive and solution focused.
13. Ability to tactfully and effectively deal with public and staff in a personable and professional manner.
14. Maintains a high level of energy and a consistent positive attitude.
15. Ability to work alongside other employees within all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:
Background in flooring industry and/or manufacturers representatives experience.
Physical Demands:
Nature of work requires an ability to travel. At times, events will require standing over 4 hours. Requires ability to communicate and exchange information between teams. Prepare work documents, set-up and maintain work files. Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs independently. Up to 50% of travel is required. May require evening and weekend hours as business needs demand.
Working Conditions
Work performed in a remote office environment.
