Your Career

This is a newly created and highly visible Executive leadership opportunity to work for a new business unit within Palo Alto Networks - the premium brand in Cyber Security & Networking. The team responsible for building this business has been hand-picked from some of the best-known brands with world-class capabilities in building hardware devices, in cyber securities, in designing amazing user experiences, scaling growth engines, and building businesses at scale. The team has a unique culture of getting things done that blends the best of Palo Alto Networks with the intimacy of a start-up.

E-commerce is fast becoming a dominant channel for selling to businesses but also for security in general. This involves acquiring customers not just through our own online store but also partners like Amazon Business, BestBuy.com, Newegg.com, etc. This is a strategic area not just for this business unit but also for Palo Alto Networks in general. This role will report into the VP of Micro Business. As the leader of E-commerce Sales, you will be responsible for building this new GTM motion targeting small businesses across all online routes to market, i.e., our online store and e-tailers. You will have the opportunity to shape Palo Alto Network’s broader strategy in online sales.

Your Impact

  • Jointly define the online sales strategy in collaboration with Digital Marketing team, Product Management, Business Engineering & Partnerships.

  • Build plans for and deliver to the businesses’ monthly/quarterly/annual goals working jointly with Digital Marketing & other stakeholders

  • Be responsible for short and long term sales goals

  • Be the voice of sales in helping prioritize

    • Product roadmap of our e-commerce platform and capabilities, e.g., forms of payments, promotion/coupon capabilities, etc.

    • Digital marketing plans - campaigns, experiments, etc. - both for our own site and 3rd parties

  • Prioritize our partnerships with e-tailers working jointly with the Partnerships teams

  • Build the measurement and tracking processes and own the requirements for building the Business Systems needed.

  • Own the end-to-end demand conversion funnel working jointly with inside sales.

  • Build and grow a team over time


Qualifications


Your Experience

  • 5+ experience in small business technology business

  • Having run online sales or built digital marketing for a product

  • Doer with a Scrappy mind-set, with experience in an early stage company or business unit

  • Builder with having built and run a team

  • Experience working with e-tailers like Amazon Business is optional

  • Experience in security is optional
