Job Description

Create & Cultivate is seeking a Director of Accounts to join the fast-paced start-up team in Los Angeles, California. Reporting into the General Manager, the ideal candidate has extensive client and project management experience with a holistic understanding of events and campaigns across both IRL and digital landscapes from sale through execution and reporting. They are highly organized, an excellent communicator, and have a process-oriented mindset, keeping both internal teams and external clients informed and on-track. Agency experience is required.


    Develop, manage, and grow relationships with new and existing clients

    Effectively and efficiently manage projects of various scopes and sizes ensuring all components flow cohesively and sequentially according timelines

    Ensure client satisfaction on all projects through effective communication and management, being solution-oriented, and tracking towards goals and KPIs

    Work closely with General Manager surrounding the drafting and negotiation of contracts, as well as invoicing

    Work closely with Senior Director of Sales and Partnerships to transition projects from sale to kick-off phases

    Develop detailed workback schedules for all projects, consulting with Senior team members in each respective department(s) involved for input as needed

    Lead internal and external project calls, ensuring materials are circulated for reference accordingly

    Lead and/or manage email communication for projects both internally and externally

    Obtain and/or oversee client approvals throughout the duration of a project as needed

    Work collaboratively with Senior team to formulate, analyze and approve reports and case studies with the support of junior team members

    Direct management of junior team members

    Work collaboratively to establish and streamline processes internally between departments to enhance efficiency of workflow.

    Actively contribute ideas and information during internal meetings and/or brainstorms

    Serve as the main point-of-contact for clients on-site at events


    7+ years of experience in a similar role, with at least 2 years of experience managing multiple direct reports

    Experience at an experiential and/or media agency

    A deep understanding of (and excitement for) 360 degree integrated events and campaigns

    Highly organized, detailed-oriented, comfortable juggling multiple tasks on deadline and able to work well among individuals, teams and external partners

    A solution-oriented mindset and strong assessment skills with the ability to make strategic suggestions and/or escalate accordingly

    Proficiency working with Asana (or other similar management tool)

    Experience drafting and negotiating contracts

    A strong communicator with the skill set to oversee and/or run point multiple projects simultaneously

    Excellent writing skills and communication etiquette

    Solid understanding of data and its power to help inform overall growth strategy to ensure monthly KPIs are met and surpassed

    Time management and logistics pro

    Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced start-up environment

    Respects deadlines and takes accountability and ownership of responsibilities with an innate understanding of how to work within a team

    Desire to travel as needed for events

    Familiarity with CRM systems preferred
