Job Description

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in quantitative disciplines area such as Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or similar.
  • 5+ years professional experience in business intelligence or business analytics
  • Experience writing advanced SQL, data modeling, data mining (SQL, ETL, data warehousing) and using databases in a business environment with complex datasets
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate your vision with both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into tactical work outputs
  • Ability to implement process and mechanisms to stay focused on long-term objectives while allowing for short-term priority shifts
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects and collaborate across functional teams
  • Knowledge with Data visualization platforms, Microsoft Excel to include developing charts, data manipulation and pivot tables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
North America's Selling Partner Services is seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) to join our New Seller Success team. The BIE will provide BI support for various initiatives to help grow and scale brand recruitment. We are looking for an experienced and passionate BIE who will work closely with business and tech stakeholders to design and build lead-processing systems, dynamic dashboard, analytical tools, and reporting to help drive recruitment of new Selling Partners. In this growing program we need someone who can move quickly, can pivot with the needs of the business and is innovative through automation and insights from their experience. As a key data partner, you will have an opportunity to work cross-functionally with product and program managers, sales and account management stakeholders, and data scientists, to help develop and innovate on the data architecture that will power some of the most scalable initiatives for the Amazon Marketplace.

Key responsibilities:
  • Be a key influencer in team’s strategy to design metrics and reporting, serving sales teams and Brand Gap program. Partner with Sales leadership to understand the metrics needed to track input and output metrics for Seller recruitment across North American recruitment teams, Lead Processing program and tech teams.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to develop data infrastructure needed for the BI team.
  • Develop single source of truth data tables for raw leads from internal and external sources by collaborating with tech and partner teams. Develop ‘Lead Universe’ to track leads at various stages of lead-to-launch funnel.
  • Develop training materials/wiki and train users WW on the BI solutions.
  • Participate in hiring decisions, and contribute to professional development of BIEs and sales teams improving their tech knowledge and BI best practices.
  • Support ad-hoc data analysis requests

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science
  • Experience with Big data, statistical modeling, data mining and machine learning (R, Python, SAS, etc.).

Requirements (What we look for in candidates): Must-haves: - 4-8 years of work experience in any customer-facing sales role. - Clear, concise, and effective written and oral communication skills. - Empathy towards customers and understanding their needs. - Interest, curiosity, and openness to learning new technologies. - Prior exposure to tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, DiscoverOrg, ZoomInfo, etc. - Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders as well as end customers. - Learning mindset and the right attitude that will help you thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. - Ability to handle rejections and stay focused and driven. - Ability to multi-task and manage your tasks effectively. - Flexibility in working in different shifts/regions. This is absolutely mandatory because you will be expected to work in a specific shift for a minimum of two years. Good to have: - Prior work experience in SaaS product companies in domains relevant to Freshworks' suite of products. - A proven track record of consistency in overachieving targets.
