On December 4, 2018, the NHL granted the 32nd NHL franchise to Seattle Hockey Partners. Two years later, we revealed the Seattle Kraken brand to the world. As the newest addition to the Pacific Division in the Western Conference, the Kraken continues to prepare for its first puck drop in the 2021-2022 NHL season. In addition to the redevelopment of Climate Pledge Arena, Seattle Kraken are consecutively building their front office headquarters and training facility with three NHL regulation rinks at the Kraken Training Center at Northgate. This development represents not only further investment in making Seattle the epicenter of the Pacific Northwest but establishing a skating presence within the city for the first time in more than 40 years.

Position Summary:

The Seattle Kraken are looking for ambitious, professional, & self-motivated individuals who will be responsible for generating revenue for the ticket sales department. This is a sales development program lasting eight months, working 24 – 29 hours a week.

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating revenue as it pertains to the Seattle Kraken and Climate Pledge Arena. This full menu role will be responsible for selling Kraken & concert suite rentals, arena tours, private events, and our High Tide Waitlist. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a desire for learning. The Seattle Kraken are focused on building sales and service careers in professional sports and will look to fill full-time positions from the Inside Sales team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prospect (e.g. cold call via both e-mail & telephone calls) over 50 contacts (self-generated & provided leads) every day
  • Highly persistent & persuasive conversation and language
  • Upsell current and potential customers to procure new sales
  • Storytelling via sales tours both in person and virtually
  • Professionally facilitate all facets of work associated with incoming customer inquiries
  • Joyfully work game day work functions as assigned

Required Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Past sales experience is not required but a plus
  • Prior experience using a CRM system like SalesForce is preferred

  • Self-starter with the ability to be creative within a structured environment

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an expert ability to present and communicate new ideas and concepts

· Extremely organized and detail oriented, resourceful, quick learner and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously

· A high degree of personal integrity and consistently put the interests of the organization first

· Must be a fierce communicator and cross-organizational collaborator

Working Conditions:

· Minimal Travel (< 10% travel): May be required to travel. Trips may require air travel and/or overnight stay away from home for one or more nights

· Must be able to work a flexible schedule inclusive of weekends, nights and holidays required

· Frequent bending, lifting 15-20 pounds, sitting, exposure to multiple external elements, extensive walking through the building including inclines and stairs
