Job Title: Key Account Manager
Location: Westmont, IL (Chicago, IL Area)
Classification: Full-time, Exempt
Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience

Summary
The Key Accounts Manager calls on independent and/or large and small chain natural grocery. The Key Account Manager makes the Headquarter call to these accounts and follows the products to store level. The products represented are natural and organic food products and personal care products.
Responsibilities:
  • Call on new and existing headquarter accounts and retail stores.
  • Manage category review calendars for key accounts, plan for and attend on behalf of the brands we represent.
  • Present new product introductions.
  • Create and present promotional opportunities through the retailers’ advertising vehicles on/or off shelf.
  • Process and follow-up on orders, as necessary.
  • Perform general retail detail including but not limited to, checking for accurate shelf tags, conducting retail audits, and ensuring new approvals made it to shelf.
  • Ability to comprehend and use sales data in presentations (SPINS, Nielsen, etc.).
  • Participate in trade shows/table-top shows, as directed by management.
  • Maintain updated sales materials.
  • Communicate with client managers regarding sales issues and objectives.
  • Respond in timely manner to all correspondence.
  • Be prepared to receive, store, distribute, and manage product samples.
  • Other activities as directed by manager.

Requirements (What we look for in candidates): Must-haves: - 4-8 years of work experience in any customer-facing sales role. - Clear, concise, and effective written and oral communication skills. - Empathy towards customers and understanding their needs. - Interest, curiosity, and openness to learning new technologies. - Prior exposure to tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, DiscoverOrg, ZoomInfo, etc. - Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders as well as end customers. - Learning mindset and the right attitude that will help you thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment. - Ability to handle rejections and stay focused and driven. - Ability to multi-task and manage your tasks effectively. - Flexibility in working in different shifts/regions. This is absolutely mandatory because you will be expected to work in a specific shift for a minimum of two years. Good to have: - Prior work experience in SaaS product companies in domains relevant to Freshworks' suite of products. - A proven track record of consistency in overachieving targets.
