Technical Solutions Consultant, Manufacturing

Description: TPM takes pride in exceeding the needs and expectations of our business partners for product value, service, support, and training. The Technical Solutions Consultant (TSC) is responsible for supporting client and project needs relating to automation of engineering and related business processes. Such work comes in the form of client technical support, creation, and delivery of project work.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare & PresentSOLIDWORKS technologies forpotential clients,user groups, tradeshows, executive briefings, andmore
Deliverstandard and customized training (fundamentals to advanced level)(with respect to SW)
Deliver consulting/implementation services
Create unique technical content by writing technical blogs and producing videos
LearnnewSOLIDWORKSandrelatedthird-party programs
Become an expert in the related softwaresuite, including deep configuration and customizations
Fulfill TPM's training program specifically forDriveWorks, SOLIDWORKS and related data management solutions
Be able to quickly assess clients' typical business/engineering workflows & processes
Be adept in engaging with client representatives to gather information, insight and foster an ongoing relationship
Become a competent & trusted technical support advisor to client user base
Excel in providing friendly and productive engagements in problem solving
Develop relationships with software vendors' support channels
Maintain a strong desire to broaden the scope of expertise and applicability of automation solutions
Target Allocation: 40% Professional Services, 25% Professional Development, 20% Support, 15% Admin

Qualifications:
B.S. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
At least 3 years of industry experience using SOLIDWORKS, preferably in a manufacturing setting
Excellent customer service, communication, and presentation skills
Analytical thinker with troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to schedule and manage several projects at one time
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Highly motivated self-starter, willing to travel (less than 20%)
Ability to conduct self in group setting as a leader and expert
A desire to improve efficiency and workflows
A desire to continually advance technical knowledge and hands-on ability
Carries a strong professional attitude in all settings, including client on site visits

Preferred:
DriveWorksdevelopmentexperience, or any other design automation/configuration software (CPQ)
At least 3 years of experience using SOLIDWORKS
SOLIDWORKS Certification (CSWP, CSWPA, CSWE)
Experience inanyprogramminglanguage
Experience withWindows networking/IT infrastructure
Experience withdatabases and query languages (ie, SQL)
Experience withweb development/programming(ie, .html, .js, CSS)

More Info:
The candidate chosen for this position will assist in leading TPM's efforts to sell and support SOLIDWORKS solutions. This opportunity includes frequent interaction with customers, problem-solving, presenting, teaching, and managing custom services. The candidate should have good working knowledge of CAD inside of manufacturing including SOLIDWORKS Product families and a desire to attain expert level skills in multiple products. The Technical Solutions Consultant will consistently demonstrate their ability to deal with clients at a business-to-business level, identifying and providing solutions that fulfill the business/technical needs of customers, as well as supporting the sales team in a pre-sales capacity demonstrating and presenting SOLIDWORKS solutions.
