Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Outside Sales Consultant to join our fast-growing roofing team. With a minimum of 1 year of roofing sales experience, you will be responsible for conducting thorough roof inspections, presenting roofing estimates to homeowners, and ensuring a seamless transition to our Inside Sales team. You’ll enjoy the use of a brand-new company truck and leverage advanced technology tools for documentation and proposals, allowing you to focus more on building relationships and closing deals. This is a collaborative role where teamwork is key, and you’ll have plenty of opportunities to grow as the company expands. Successful sales consultants can earn $200k or more with commissions, providing significant earning potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maximize Sales Opportunities: Approach each lead with a customer-centered, educational mindset while focusing on closing deals and delivering high-quality service.
- Conduct Roof Inspections: Perform detailed roof inspections, which include climbing onto roofs to assess conditions, document issues, and provide recommendations.
- Present Roofing Estimates: Using the provided technology tools, document photos and professionally present roofing estimates to homeowners based on inspection findings.
- Handoff to Inside Sales: After the presentation, transition all project details — including notes, photos, and measurements — to the Inside Sales team for follow-up and finalization.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Inside Sales team to ensure that all project information is communicated clearly, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Drone Usage (Preferred): Use drones to capture high-quality visual data during inspections (experience with drones is a plus but not required).
- Documentation: Accurately record inspection details, photos, and measurements using the provided software to assist in delivering a high-quality proposal.
- Close Ratio: Maintain a minimum of a 30% close ratio based on monthly sales quotas.
Qualifications:
- Roofing Sales Experience: At least 1 year of roofing sales experience is required.
- Ability to Climb Roofs: Comfortable with climbing onto roofs to perform inspections.
- Technology Savvy: Ability to use sales and documentation software to capture inspections and present proposals (CRM software is not required).
- High Degree of Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive customer information with discretion.
- Valid Driver’s License and Clear Driving Record: Required for operating the company vehicle and performing job site visits.
- Team Player Orientation: Strong collaborative skills to work with the Inside Sales and production teams.
- Drone Experience (Preferred): Experience using drones for inspections is a plus, though not required.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly present proposals to homeowners in a professional and educational manner.
