Job Title: Residential Sales Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for a Residential Sales Manager with previous solar industry expertise and an entrepreneurial spirit that will be responsible for developing our residential sales force in the Southern California market.

You will be joining a seasoned, experienced, and successful operational team and will be responsible for selling Residential Solar, Pool Solar, and Battery Storage projects in Southern California. The right candidate will self-generate leads and follow-up on company provided leads in a timely manner. The Residential Sales Manager qualifies all leads completing a utility, space, and needs analysis. Each Consultant is expected to prepare and present proposals to potential clients converting leads into contracts. The Residential Sales Manager will utilize proposal tools, collaborate with design and estimating teams, and understand financing options to ensure an effective and consultative sell.

This candidate should reside in the LA or Orange County area and expect to be on conference calls and webinars with their remote sales team, as well as, visit the corporate office in Yorba Linda, CA.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Exude a passion for renewables, learning, and communicating with people
  • Know how to build a winning sales team
  • Develop a customer acquisition strategy and manage the residential sales and marketing budgets
  • Conduct an average of 1-3 solar presentations each day
  • Meet or exceed sales goals with no commission caps
  • Conduct follow-up calls to make sure all leads are pursued in a timely and efficient manner
  • Interact with various company departments to ensure the customer has a positive experience with Tenco Solar
  • Keep in close contact with your customers throughout the “going solar” process to ensure a consistent and positive experience
  • Carry projects from conception to contract execution/financing approval
  • Cultivate relationships and referrals with key influencers
  • Expect to self-generate leads to maintain your pipeline, with supplemented leads provided by the company
  • Learn and understand finance models and select packages based on the client’s needs
  • Evaluate finance options customized for various client types including taxable and nontaxable entities
  • Prepare professional, accurate and intuitive proposals for customers
  • Utilize proposal and utility analysis software
  • Partner with operations team to provide efficient and thorough transition from sale to installation
  • Effectively work in a dynamic, high-energy environment
  • Meet goals and deadlines consistently
  • Continuously learn and grow within the industry knowledgebase
  • Be flexible in your approach(es), while focusing on the primary goal (sales)
  • Maintain company CRM Track and understand personal KPIs

In the first 30, 60, 90 days you should expect to:

  • Develop Residential Marketing Strategy
  • Generate Leads to develop a $3-7M/year pipeline
  • Show growth and movement within your pipeline

TO BE SUCCESSFUL – EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

  • 2+ years of experience in the Solar Industry
  • NABCEP Certification preferred
  • College Degree preferred
  • Must be a self-motivated leader with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Driven and focused individual who exceeds sales quotas
  • Proven ability to be a team player with a desire to grow individually and professionally
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Bilingual preferred

Pay: $75,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
